So 2 family members got the ribeye, which was decent for the price. It was cooked to the customers request(med, well) and was average price for a steak at any steakhouse. Now on to the Italian food. It was edible and temp was good. Meatballs dry and bland, ravioli was homemade and tasted like flour. The sauce was pretty good on both the ravioli and spaghetti. Salad was decent, bread was decent. Honestly thought it was way overpriced for what you get. Staff was short with us, didn’t explain any about how it comes as family meals, kind of weird. Look it wasn’t horrible but for three adults it cost over 100 bucks for mediocre food. That’s overboard if you ask me.

Without question the worst Italian food I’ve ever had. Expensive dinner for what it is…. Claimed it was family style but given the portion sizes, I wouldn’t say it’s even close. The sauce they used for the pasta tasted more like an enchilada sauce. Service was good and friendly, but that’s the only positive thing I’ll say about it. Server though did ask if we wanted more salad and bread, which we said yes to. She failed to tell us they would charge us $4 more. That’s a pet peeve of mine, you should always warn customers if they are about to be charged more. Won’t be back

I’ve never seen a ribeye steak so full of gristle let alone be served one at a restaurant. Half of the steak was inedible because of this. The other half was decent but over seasoned. Even though it was cooked rare like I wanted it was not juicy, meaning it had probably been in storage for a long time. The raviolis seemed handmade but were undercooked & tasted floury. The meatballs were bland & dry inside.

My friend loves this restaurant. For a city the size of McAlester, it’s probably considered one of the better places to eat. It is pricey for the area in my opinion, but it’s a local favorite. It’s likely a difference in taste preference and the availability of more options in my area.

Honestly 1 star is too good of a review for this place. The prices are outrageous for the amount/quality of food. Salad was warm, ravioli and spaghetti tasted microwaved and the meatballs were flavorless. This restaurant is far from authentic Italian.

I say avoid this place if you can. First thing i noticed was the decor from 1960. Its ridiculous. The meatball was dry and unseasoned. Ravioli was plain and doughy. Chicken Alfredo was ok. Paid twice as much as its worth. Waitress never checked on me till i had all the plates on the edge of the table. Go to Pete’s Place instead. You will be glad you did.

I had a party of three that was seated in an area near the register. The wait staff seemed out of sync with hardly any patrons, though the restaurant could hold quite a few people. We were asked by two different people if we had menus, had ordered, or had drink order taken. The ambient lighting was atrocious. It was so dark that I couldn’t see the color of my food. What lighting they did have was blue and red. It seemed like club lighting. We came because it was the only restaurant that advertised veal on their menus online. The veal had to be sawed with the butter knife we were provided. The crispy batter on the veal was actually burnt. The salad was drenched in a house dressing of mainly vinegar. The bread looked toasted, yet was soggy with garlic butter. The meatballs were heavily pressed and had to be cut with a knife and fork. The only thing I thought was okay was the spaghetti noodles. They did appear to be homemade (thick and tender) and I did appreciate that. I felt compelled to warn people of this place considering how much we spent on a meal we physically couldn’t chew. EDIT: Husband would like me to mention the Italian sausage was filled with water when you cut into them. They seemed to be frozen and thawed. And the ravioli dough was very dense with very little filling and were not consistent in size or shape. I wonder who is cooking on the days these 5 star ratings happen.

My first review post EVER. Waste of money. I’m from Charleston SC w great Italian restaurants. I almost walked out when I saw the prices. I ordered the spaghetti because it was the least price dinner at $16.50. Could not eat it because it was just that bad. Other negative reviews were right on. Just wished I had read them before I sat down. For the positive reviews, you must be talking about a different italian restaurant. Oh and the men’s bathroom was filthy. Years of Piss stains in the cracks of the tile. Carpet in the dining area also filthy from years of neglect.

We enjoyed the food, especially the chicken fettuccine. The alfredo sauce is really good! You get a lot of food. They bring you a set up of salad, bread, spaghetti, ravioli & meatballs before they bring you your entree. My husband had the steak, it is about 16oz & has a good flavor. Service wasnt that good, our waitresses never refilled our drinks another lady did & when we would ask her questions she would state lef at other things going on & give very short responses. Overall, food is good but service needs some major work!
