I am very dissatisfied with this location (75th Ave and Bell). We’ve ordered food twice this month from Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. A few weeks ago we called in an order for pick-up. We arrived. I was surprised that know one acknowledged us until several minutes went by. We were the only ones there by the way. The brisket we had was extremely fatty. Pretty much fat parts in every bite. Today we walked in and did take-out. The ribs were cold and tasted like they were left over from the day before at best. The coleslaw container was very soggy. The coleslaw had been sitting in this container for awhile for it to be that soggy. For these reasons I will not be returning.

First of all, the staff was friendly and helpful, the 2 star review is specific to the food quality. They were out of pulled pork, which is inconvenient but not the end of the world. We placed an order to go and the food was ready pretty quickly.

Went in today and they say they’re legit TX BBQ which is laughable. I’m from TX and this food misses the mark completely I ordered a brisket plate and a brisket sandwich and paid $33 which in my opinion is a rip-off. The portions are very small and the brisket is very dry and you have to drown it in their sauce for some flavor. The bread roll is very small dry and nasty. Potato salad was ok but the okra was good.

I was here approximately a year ago and I enjoyed it, but I recently came back to Peoria to visit a friend and I dined here again. The restaurant was very clean and the service was exceptional! I had the sandwich and it was delicious. I also tried the brisket and it was made to perfection. I spoke to the manager Brandi and she was very polite. She was talkative and didnt act like i was bothering her with my small talk. Johnny took our order and he was just as friendly. I wish more restaurants were like this one.

Spare rib dinner was $10.95 on Tuesday special. Included four ribs, one side, bun, and a large drink. Well seasoned and tasty. Great customer service. We had our dinner in minutes.

Stopped here for a quick dine-ij dinner with my girlfriend, we had a bit of a wait despite being second in line, the cashier was having issues with the register, although she seemed to stay positive and work through the issues.

Friendly, fast, and clean I’d rate 4 to 5. Appearance and portions of food were on bit of the cheap side about 2 to 3. For the amount they charge per plate, I’d say the ribs are best deal, and okra. The rest really small portions of meat. A bit Warning Pulled pork bit blan w/out sauce. They have 3 sauces on the side away from counter. Could use in adding some more greens like ex: green beans.

I have to say, this is probably the best tasting barbecue place to eat at . I had a brisket BBQ sandwich and a side Caesar salad. I usually eat brisket sliced, but this time I decided to have it chopped up. Mom and I were the first ones there when it opened, so it really nice and we just sat at ate and visited with each other while eating the most delicious barbecue. Of course we had to have our ice cream cones after the meal, that’s another one of my favorites.

Best brisket l’ve had in years! So tender and the spices were just right. Brandi the manager was very nice and very helpful in helping me decide what to order. It was a toss up between brisket and pulled pork. Next time l’ll try the pulled pork. Everyone was very friendly- especially Johnny ( l think that’s his name ) l’ll definitely be back and will tell my friends. Tell Brandi she’s got a new regular customer- good food and great people!
