During our first visit, we had the grilled cheese brisket, brisket nachos, and the 2 meat plate. For the plate, I had the brisket & sausage with beans and the potato salad. Everything was fresh & hot. It tasted amazing! The brisket was very soft and tender, and the grilled cheese was super cheesy filled with plenty of brisket. The bread was toasted perfectly with a golden brown crisp. The brisket nachos were very cheesy and loaded with brisket. You need to order at the register. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. It’s definitely a must try if you haven’t been here. I highly recommend it.

The owner is a character, but he is so friendly. He is like the funny uncle who always has tons of stories to tell at a family event that ever loves! Some of the best customer service I have gotten in awhile. The creamed corn is a MUST HAVE!

Legit BBQ! The Dino Rib was amazing. Meat was so moist and fall of the bone, kissed with just the perfect hint of smoke. Not like some other places that have meat tasting like a chimney. Brisket was moist, and pork ribs were excellent. Didn’t make it in time for the chicken, which must be good, because it was sold out! Sides complimented the Star meats well. Owner and his staff provide great service. Can’t wait to come back and try the chicken! Oh and I hear the barbacoa is excellent too! See y’all again soon.

FAMILY, LOVE & LIFE !!!
The pulled pork is very good!! Im from nc and its hard to please me when it comes to pulled pork…but o so gud fit the bill! The brisket mac n cheese was delicious also! The owner came over and introduced himself and was very nice and informed me the do burnt ends(which is my fav) by request! Omg go get you some!! My wife had the 2 meat chicken and chopped brisket abd loved it also! I had the two meat with pulled pork and pork ribs! The ribs were good also! The pecan smoke added a layer of flavor i haven’t had before!!

Reasonably priced BBQ restaurant, located in shopping center off Alton Gloor. Brisket is moist and full flavored. Ribs cooked just right. Sides: the fries had a taste of old oil and I could not eat them. The ranchero beans were traditionally cooked and delicious. The corn is served similarly to street corn. Disliked the individually wrapped condiments (onios, pickle)-I would prefer the brisket sandwich was ready to eat. Overall is a good BBQ joint and would be returning. My wife said “it’s better than Rudy’s”.

Very average bbq spot nothing will wow you here won’t be amazed. Other than the beans the sides need work very bland and the mac n cheese is very dry. Owner needs to fully commit to his business. However you should still give it a try some things are done right. Prices are not bad

I tried “El Oso” today. It sounded pretty good. Tasted even better. I only wish I would have asked for more sauce. I love sauce and they got a pretty darn good one. The pulled pork could have been a bit more tender though. All in all, it was good.
