We were traveling and thought we had been to this sal’s before but upon arriving we realized it was not. We thought we would try it anyways. Upon entering we were greeted but not with a welcome or hello, but just how many. I felt is that we were an inconvenience. It was obvious that our waitress was either new or had not been trained very well. They were not very busy and after waiting an extended period of time for her to take our order the wait for the food was even longer. A table that came in after us and got their food before us. The pizza was very dry other than the enormous amount of grease enough that could have filled my napkin and I’m not usually one to notice how much grease is on a pizza.

Worst experience ever! ! If I could give negative stars I would. We waited at least 20 minutes to be seated after being told it would only be 10 minutes. My husband ordered a side salad along with our pizza. The waitress never brought it. Mind you, she only had three tables to wait on including us. She walked past our table numerous times with my husband’s glass sitting empty. When she finally stopped at our table, she mentioned the salad and my husband told her it was too late and to take it off the bill. This was AFTER our pizza came and AFTER someone from the kitchen finally filled his glass. I also want to mention that I told the person from the kitchen that it was really cold in there and asked if something could be done. She said, “Well you ought to be in the kitchen with us.” I didn’t ask for a smart remark. I saw several people with jackets on and others go to their vehicles to their jackets.

We ordered family dinners for an early Christmas gathering. We had trays of delicious lasagna, garlic breadsticks and salad (with great homemade dressings). We also had two plates of very tasty grilled chicken with vegetables for family members that couldn’t eat gluten or dairy and both were equally as good.

8/22 Update: They have remodeled and the place looks great. Food is still very good. The eggplant parmesan was not on the menu but available, and was excellent. Large portions, plan on taking some home. The sandwiches on the lunch menu are quite large. Note: Don’t turn into the driveway at the light; you will end up in the fast food restaurant parking lot.
