WHAT A JOY! The staff and other customers treated us like home folks! We ate a fabulous breakfast! The omelets were packed full! Just a wonderful place to eat! Our western omelets were $8.99 and came with biscuits and gravy!

Great omelette and pretty good B&G. French toast really good too. Liked the iced tea and decaf coffee which isn’t always easy to find. Erin was a fun and helpful server. Lots of friendly locals too. The daily lunch specials looked really good making us think we need to stop for lunch next time we’re through this area!

I got the Chuck wagon I believe it was called. Very tasty and good portions. Most of all reasonable prices.

I cannot say enough nice things about this place. For starters I work at one of the plants right up the road from the Cafe. I work 12-16 hr swings and sometimes after a long night of getting my butt handed to me at work, I’ll stop by the Cafe to decompress and have breakfast. I swear they probably call me the french toast man because all I get is 2-3 orders of french toast, an order of bacon and some OJ. The staff is always super friendly though and gives me my space. It’s the perfect setting. You can sit in there to be alone, without feeling to lonely. They have regulars other than myself that are often talking about regular things. The staff is always bubbly and full of life, enough to light up your day after a long day or night at work. I usually only order the french toast not because nothing else on the menu looks good but because the way they make them, takes me back to my childhood when my mom used to make them for me as a kid. Every bite is just warm and fluffy and they remind me of a time in life when things and the world were a lot less hectic. I’d highly suggest this place if you’re in town and looking for a nice little local place to eat at.

Cute little establishment with country charm. Waitress was sweet & made sure my needs were met. Food was ehh, ok. I got country fried steak, it came with two sides. The potatoes were not great tasting, brown gravy on them was obviously made from a mix or bag, not homemade. Country fried steak was thin like paper, no flavor & the white gravy also looked & tasted like it was from a bag. There was no love coming from that kitchen that was shown in the food. I went for breakfast, but got there too late so had to have lunch. Was so unimpressed with lunch, ill just ho ahead & pass on trying breakfast.

We live about an hour from Calvert Cafe, but any chance we get to drive there and have breakfast, we take it. We camp in the area and it’s definitely one of the highlights of our adventures. Always friendly service, always good food, and some of the best prices for eating out that I’ve seen in a while.

We stopped by for a quick breakfast on a recent road trip and left with full bellies and warm hearts. Absolutely the best food and people around! Please, can y’all relocate to Georgia? Next time we visit Calvert we’ll be stopping at the Calvert Cafe first.

Great staff & selection of food. Bright atmosphere,,will definitely be back. Oh yes, wonderful varieties of sides. Just realized I forgot to mention my husband raved about the turnip greens – thing is he does not usually like any green but spinach, he was very happy he tried them.
