I didn’t spot that this wasn’t an eat-in restaurant and turned up with an out-of-town friend for a business lunch. The wonderful Shay took pity on us, invited us in and made us her first eat-in customers with a plastic table and a couple of random desk chairs in the hallway. It was an exceptional lunch. We had the mushroom burgers. I asked if she made the patties from scratch and she does and frankly it’s a remarkable recipe, well executed. I don’t really like fake meat that tastes half like meat and throws enough salt in so you don’t notice that it isn’t. Shay’s burger is not that. Not too salty – good all-in meat-like taste. Really yummy comfort food. We got a homemade punch which I would recommend too. They come in what appear to be hospital IV hydration bags which worked really well (they weren’t really IV bags, you put a straw in them, but it was hot and I really could happily have done the juice on a drip.). But the biggest positive about the place is the owner and chef. She’s got an infectious joyous energy to her that makes spending time with her super pleasant. She is talking about opening an eat-in restaurant in the next year and I hope she makes it. She’d be a great restauranteur, clearly has real passion for her food and customers. I’ll be there on opening night if I get an invite.

I highly recommend eating at Twisted Vegan. Service was wonderful, the customer service was excellent -so personable, friendly and patient. My husband kept on about how great his Swiss and onion burger was, and he definitely wasn’t lying! I wanted something quick, so I got the chicken fingers and the cucumber lemonade.

Greetings, everyone, I would like to share a wonderful experience with all Vegans out there in the Tampa area, Twisted Vegan has one of the most exceptionally creative skillsets in creating Vegan delights for the Vegan community in Tampa. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of gifting my acutely designed taste buds with Twisted Vegan’s Vegan Cheeseburger, hot fries and one heck of a smile from the VERY beautiful owner. But let me not get off topic despite the owner’s pulchritudinous physical traits, “clears throat slyly”, I’ve been consuming vegan delights for YEARS and have yet to encounter anything close to what Twisted Vegan productively offers. I’m in love, I’m in Vegan Heaven, I’m IN the process of returning to them for some more VEGAN crack.

I order the bacon cheese burger & it was finger licking good! Oh man, absolutely amazing! 10/10 seasoned well. The owner was very sweet! The fruit punch was sooooo good. My mom has the vegan cheese burger and it was 10/10 as well! We also got an empanada it was delicious!! And the carrot cake was amazing! If I lived in Tampa I’d be there weekly eating lol

I had the Southern Chicken Sandwich. Let’s just say that the cole slaw by itself was worth everything. It was full of flavor, robust, the right consistency. The sandwich definitely is delicious. Memorable. The fries were nice and hot, freshly made. Also, support local! Won’t regret it!

If you want fresh ingredients and mouth watering flavors I highly recommend Twisted Vegan. Every item leaves you satisfied and full and wanting more. Even if you’re not big on an all veggie meal these recipes will not disappoint. Trust me, eat here, you might just forget what meat is.

I had the pleasure of eating from here while at a veg festival and I was so impressed! Prices were good and the food was super flavorful and filling. I got an empanada, a sea moss and coconut milk drink, and a cheesy chili cornbread dish with vegan sour cream. So happy to see more delicious vegan food come up here in Florida, especially small businesses. Excited to visit the actual location next time I’m in Tampa!
