We absolutely love this place. The food was fresh, hot and very delicious. Prices are very reasonable compared to other seafood restaurants. The service was was great and the staff was very polite. Also, we enjoyed the live Jazz session. The Sax player was very good.

Slow but it was lunch time. Got basically a burger w/onion rings. Seafood nachos. Buns were dry. Onion rings all looked the same.seems the took them out of freezer and warmed em up. Would not recommend them. The chips were so stale but the waitress warned me of this. If this was my first time here I would not recommend it to anyone.

The restaurant was clean and inviting. I had the Catfish Orleans, Boudain balls, and the seafood gumbo. The gumbo had a good flavor, the boudain balls weren’t as spicy as I like, but had a good proportion of ingredients. The main dish was delicious as always. Mari was attentive and got my orders in and out quickly, despite it being dinner time. Would definitely return.

Never going back. The service was utterly horrible. The waiter played on his phone while customers waited to make orders and get their food. He was screamed at right in front of us by a man that had been waiting ten minutes for someone to ask him what he needed, which was to make a to go order. They had a few decent items but overall it seemed the recipes weren’t authentic Cajun food but a poor facsimile. I would avoid the place if I were you.

Food is great if you eat at restaurant. Don’t order to go! Portion size is definitely different than dining in . Returned meal and got money back and ate elsewhere. 18 year resident in La Porte. Other restaurants in the area are great in dining or ordering out. This happened to many times when calling in a order to go . Definitely lost a customer.

Been eating here for a long time….never again! They started charging an automatic gratuity based on how much your ticket total is. Then have the audacity to have their hand held machine to ask if you want to leave a tip when paying. Very sad because the food and service are typically good but to be automatically charged for spending money in their establishment leaves a lot to be desired!

Great little place for some really good seafood! The waitstaff was very kind and allowed me to try a single crawfish since I hadn’t ever had one before, but ultimately I ended up with the seafood gumbo. Also tried their hush puppies, fried catfish, fried alligator, and onion rings and they were all AMAZING. Such a quaint little place; I was very impressed.

Excellent boudin. Catfish, shrimp, gumbo, fries and GARLIC BREAD. Remoulade sauce was spot on. Service! Oh my, young dad, four kids, talked longer than he should about his beautiful children. I hope his wife wasn’t mad he was late coming home. Breath of fresh air and renewed my faith in younger generation’s work ethic.
