Had a father’s day weekend brunch here with a group of people. Very nice atmosphere, clean dining area. Service was a little slow but I’d imagine thats more of a understaffed location issue and less of a bad employee issue. The gentleman that helped serve us seemed friendly and polite enough!

City Loafers came on a recent Google search for “sandwich” and “Davenport”. I’ve still been looking for more good local sandwich shops, so this seemed a good place to try, with the added benefit of getting into downtown Davenport on a Friday evening.

Quiet, beautiful, airy location was a perfect spot for a late breakfast this morning. My ham and swiss omelette was fantastic, as was the oatmeal with strawberries and blueberries that I was able to substitute in for hash browns and toast. Had a great chat with the server and got some tips on what to check out as I walk around town during my visit. Would definitely stop in here again during lunch or dinner to try something on their regular menu.

My sweet heart and I split our plate.They charge a $2 split plate fee which was odd, but the food was great. We are the Fowl Play sandwich. It tasted great, and is a good size.

Horrible service! Couldn’t find anybody to even seat us at a table. Then the host just handed some menus to us while we were standing in the middle of the restaurant. We turned around and walked out. Will not be back!
