On our way to New Orleans, we stopped here for lunch. I ordered the meat pie, bundin ball, and snack size Chicken & Sausage Gumbo and my bf ordered the Cajun Chicken sandwich and snack size C&S gumbo as well. Everything was delicious!! The staff was excellent and nice. We didn’t wait long for our food. I love the decorations/paintings. The second I walked into the bathroom, I was in awe at how I felt like I was out in the swamp. Anyways I will definitely stop back through the next time we are in the area.

We stopped here for lunch on a whim and we’re pleasantly surprised! I had never had a Boudin ball but it was so good!!! We had catfish, boudin ball and a meat pie and it was delicious! The people were so friendly and welcoming. I wish we had places like this in Florida!

A little pricy for what it is. I had the fried boudin and the regular and both you saw a lot of rice and the rest was mush. No chunks of meat. Texture wasn’t really what I like for a good boudin. Flavor was ok but to much rice. For the price I expect a better quality product. The egg rolls are barely stuffed with anything it’s mostly the fried dough. It was hard to find any boudin in it. I may try the plate lunches, hopefully that is better. I did like the chicken cracklin, it was probably the best thing I had here. The pork cracklin was dry and over cooked. Mostly a disappointment.

Stopped in for something on the wat home from a cruise. The people were all friendly and super nice. I had some shrimp etouffee and my had fried catfish. The price was very fair and the etouffee….oh my….it was better than amazing. If you are thinking about trying this place, you definitely should.

Traveling across the U.S.A. and discovered this gem. We had the Gumbo, Pork Cracklings and Tamales. We drove 50 miles one way JUST to go back again. We had the Meatpies and ordered 4 dozen tamales to take with us. We arrived during lunch time and were told it would be 30-45 minutes. I have no problem waiting for GREAT food. Not to mention the AMAZING customer service. They were extremely nusines so our order took longer than expected (not a problem for me). The staff constantly gave us updates on our order. While waiting, Chef John Valenzuela came out and introduced himself. He took me on a tour of their kitchen. It was amazing seeing al of the fresh ingredients being turned into the most amazing food. Homemade tamales, boudin, cracklings, gumbo, meat pies, and the list goes on. It is obvious they care about their food and their customers. Being in Food Service my entire life, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the kitchen as well. I highly recommend thar if you are in Alexandria, Louisiana that you stop in for an fantastic experience. I will be returning soon.

The only thing positive about this experience was the friendliness of the cashier. The crackerlings were hard, dried out, smelled of being burnt and overcooked. You could not bite them or chew them. The cream cheese boudin balls were as equally hard to chew. They were so dried out the cream cheese on the inside was hard ball. This food should not have been served to the public becuase the quality was poor. The food was not fresh and had obviously been under the hot lighting too long. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MERCHANT/BUSINESS!

I have tried two plate lunches just to see if it was a difference in taste and so far nothing. Today I tried the meatball fricassee over rice with green beans and sweet potatoes. Last week I tried the beef stew over rice with green beans and sweet potatoes with a roll. If you have high blood pressure run it’s over salted all the salt is in the rice. I’m just wondering does the cook taste the food or anyone else taste the food before preparation. I spend hard earn money for a plate lunch that’s horrible so much salt I may spend additional money at the ER for blood pressure. Everything else is just fine sometimes the few cracklins I get are also over salted. You can’t expect customers to return with food like this. Maybe it’s just things that need rice added because the rice is where the salt is Maybe I should try a different plate lunch but I’m not sure after two bad plates not good being it’s the main dish. ***7/26/2022 first time going back sense the previous review and nothing was changed its still salty. It’s a waste of food and money.

The boudin burger is the absolute best. First time to Louisiana and this is the first meal we had. On our way to New Orleans but I doubt anything will beat this sandwich. Staff was extremely nice and very helpful navigating us first timers through the menu.

Quebedeaux’s has become one of my absolutely favorite restaurants, period! Every single meal has been delicious! You can tell this food doesn’t come out of a box or bag but is freshly made with personal attention. The staff is first-rate and the decor is very entertaining. I can’t recommend Quebedeaux’s enough!
