I am giving this place a five for their amazing view and the value for money. They have stunning lake view that just took our breath away. We walked in without a reservation but still able to get a outdoor table since it just got rained on. It was a bit chilly out there in the evening but the view won us over for sure. We enjoyed the pizza most out of all, the steak/pasta/salad are a little disappointing comparatively.

Service was a bit slow for not being busy. Had to wait around for a good minute for plates to come so we can eat our pizza. Other than that the food was good and the Lakeview was stunning.

Nice and clean overlooking the water. Only beer and wine selections here and some unique local beers.

Decided to try this place out on a Saturday night. The atmosphere is excellent. Also a local guitarist was playing acoustic numbers from all the classic greats. Ordered two IPAs which were excellent. Also got the house salad which reminded me of a chopped wedge salad which came with a nice ranch dressing. The salad is also quite good. The pizza we ordered was a different story. Although it was acceptable overall, I am not a fan of the pizza bread nore the tomato sauce. Overall this place is great for casual dinner with a lake view. I would give it another try but probably skip the pizza.

Unfortunately nothing so far can replace Hacienda De Largo which had some of the best food on the Lake. There is no service here. You order at the counter and wait forever for the pizza. The under staffing is a problem around the Lake…nowhere affordable to live..The pizza was okay, Liked the thin crunchy crust but wished they had a Margarita Pizza on the menu. Cesar Salad was pretty good but with bacon and no anchovies. I love the setting but don’t see this place lasting very long unless they can step up their game and offer real service .

We came for dinner & there was no wait staff. You order at the bar, pay in advance, take a number to a table and your food is brought out to you. After we got our food we had to go find someone to get silverware to eat with. Only one person at the register was taking orders, so at dinner time, you have to wait in a long line to order your food and hopefully there is a table for you to eat at. We watched staff bring food to the wrong table or just wander around with food trying to figure out who it was for, on 3 occasions while we were there. Some of the tables were never cleared the entire time we were there. The staff allowed a couple to come inside the restaurant to dine with their dog (not a service dog), which is illegal in the state of CA. This is a nice restaurant in a nice location, with beautiful views, but operates like a fast food restaurant. The food was subpar, and the service is non-existent. Paid $70 for 2 beers, a burger, and pasta. The beer was good, the food was bland. This used to be a really good mexican restaurant where 5 years ago my fiance and I had our first date. We returned for our 5yr anniversary, very disappointed with what it’s become, not because it’s a different restaurant, but because everything but the view/location was disappointing.

Words, words, words cannot do justice to the experience at Pints and Pies! The view alone over the lake as the boats rock gently is worth the visit, BUT it only goes up from here. Chef John is remarkable with his menu and if you have a chat with him, you’ll see why. He’s been everywhere and done everything. If you’re there in winter, don’t let the big boy fool you, he can carve troughs in the snow. Do yourself a favor, make a memory, eat some good food, have a chat with his friendly staff and ask John to offer his recommendations!

I grew up in Tahoe City and am sad to leave this review, but it was a bad experience. Ordering at the bar was a chaotic mess, the tables were never cleared, and a homeless woman came in and ate leftovers off of our table and the tables around us. It took a fairly long time to get our food, and the food was OK. I was surprised to learn that we needed to get our own silverware. I’m not sure what a tip would be for. I’m sad to say I don’t think this restaurant will last long.

We went there for lunch during the memorial day weekend and so glad we found them. Hands down the best sit down pizza place in north tahoe.
