Tl;dr: Waited 45 minutes for 2 pizzas, the cheese was disgusting, there was a passive aggressive note in the ladies’ room, and the true prices of their menu items were not listed anywhere with no warning until receiving the bill.

First time eating here and it was amazing. I’m gluten free and I had a long list of items to order. I ordered a Gluten Free Pizza and it was one of the best gluten free pizzas I have ever had. I also got a Gluten Free Pasta with Vodka Sauce and it was amazing. The pasta didn’t taste different than normal pasta just like the pizza tasted just like a normal pizza. The owner Maria was extremely nice and went out of her way to accommodate my gluten free family. This place was amazing and if I ever come back to New Palz I’d definitely come back.

The pizza is really good, but sadly, it’s the most expensive pizza in the history of the world. (I paid close to $10 for two regular slices… I asked for some added fresh garlic. I guess there were a few tiny pieces of garlic on them… they charged me $2 extra for that tiny bit of garlic. Crazy, but true) It’s always empty in there, and I’m sure that’s why, because it’s definitely the best pizza in new paltz, and probably beyond, but I never paid that much money for a slice, even anywhere in New York City. I won’t be going back there, but if you’re looking for a great slice, here you go. Just bring your wallet, it’s way overpriced.

We took the New Paltz exit while traveling on the Thruway, and found this place. The food was really tasty, and the portions were very generous at reasonable prices. The sauce on our son’s penne was made in-house and it shows. I stuffed myself on a delicious chicken parm sandwich, and my wife’s Caesar salad was quite good as well. Yes, the decor is a little tired and service could be faster. Everyone is understaffed these days. But this is a family place and they take pride in their food, and it comes through in the eating. I expect this will be a regular stop for us on trips through the northeast.

This was quite possibly the worst pizza and salad I have ever had. The margherita pizza had zero basil, too much cheese and the sauce stopped 2-3 inches from the crust. The crust was floppy and tasteless. Same with the cheese we ordered (no difference in taste or presentation between the cheese and margherita). The lack of sauce was consistent here as well and the meatballs tasted like salt.

This is our favorite place to go In New Paltz. The food is always delicious and if its a cold dish, cold. If its a hot dish, its hot. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that for a $16.00 salad adding a protein of grilled shrimp was an additional $6.00 for 4 shrimp.

I’m surprised this place passed a health inspection. It’s not clean, the service is terrible, the food is disgusting, cold, and has no flavor, and the manager Maria should not be working there anymore, rude to the customers. Stay far away!!!!
