Tamarind is delicious, I have been ordering from here for almost 10 years now. The food is always good and I have almost never been let down by my go to dishes. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew (also the chicken Satay Skewers are great). The service is super quick and the staff are very friendly.

It’s a small place if you don’t care much about ambience. The shop looks not so colorful from outside or inside. Only a few tables inside too.

Excellent food! Don’t let the condition of the outside fool you. This restaurant is a gem! Tables are small, but comfortable atmosphere. The vegetables and proteins were delicately prepared and presented so nicely. We especially loved the complex but perfectly prepared curries.

This place is closed for sit down option. Only take out option is available. But no such information is available online. We decided to do take out because we already reached the restaurant and didn’t want to drive to another place. Food tasted ok but it gave me food poisoning. I was throwing up whole night. Couldn’t even enjoy all the fun activities planned for next day at Cornell for my daughter orientation. Worse take out experience ever.

This is hands down the best Thai place in Ithaca, and might I dare to say NY state! Both my Thai friends have confirmed this as well, so it’s definetly legit. The Pad See Ew and spring rolls are my favorites!

I love this place. I typically get the Panang Curry and they are so accommodating to pickier eaters who like trying new thing which is so nice lol. The only downside is that depending on when you go you might not get the fullest portions.

You know I really like the food here, but waiting for your take out 40 minutes after it was supposed to be ready and standing in a line that wraps all the way around the building to pick it up is ridiculous. They really need to make their pick up more efficient. The picture is taken from being the building and there are two more people behind me.

I am very fond of this restaurant. They have great soups and desserts and excellently priced lunch specials. The food is always very attractively presented. The service is always veey pleasant and they often have jazz playing. I wish their portion sizes were a bit larger as that sometimes makes me go for Taste of Thai Express instead. However, Tamarind has more variety and genuinely good desserts. The Taro balls in coconut milk and the black beans in tapioca pudding are great. I also loved their garlic pepper fish.
