The staff is always friendly, and my food always has to be freshly prepared. The catfish is good despite not being seasoned much. I’ve had the grilled chicken twice since it’s a healthy option, but it’s very bland. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, too. Yesterday was my first time eating inside at this location, and my main complaint is the soda fountain. It was leaking and has what appears to be mold above the grate, and the grate is filthy as well, so I didn’t purchase a drink. Now I’m wondering how clean the kitchen is. If I can clearly see how dirty the fountain is, then they can, too. Yet they’ve failed to do anything about it, which makes it seem like they don’t care. Because of that, I’m not sure when I’ll be returning to this location.

When Grandy’s first opened years ago, I was in love. Back then I was a major foody, now I try to watch what I eat, but I have a friend who eats and eats and really doesn’t care from where lolol so she gets extra everything and I get coldslaw and veggies. Sad to say Coldslaw was really bad, but okra was good as ever. If you like Coleslaw don’t get it there, it’s not worth the money or even for free, just don’t. I gave the chicken to my Fur Babies, but only a few bits. It’s really greasy.

So, this is going to be a nasty review! Just writing it is making me want to hurl! I even say I’m nasty because I still ate my food. IJS all.

Had lunch here today and highly recommend. I had the chicken livers, corn fritters, and potato salad. Everything was excellent as was the service!

I was not going to write a review. I was going to CALL THEM, And give them a chance to fix it. I have been calling for four hours. The numbers that are listed on Google or either wrong or IDK. One of them has been busy for the entire time. The other one disconnects as soon as it starts ringing. I thought it was just my phone so I’ve had other people call and it is not just my phone. I spent $11 on a combo of four vegetables. I am disabled, unable to drive, my friend picked me up some food and brought it to me. I received it, the entire container was broken. Torn and cracked. Like what? You literally Can’t put my food in a NEW container? Or one that’s not broken? But OK. If the food was good I wouldn’t have cared. There were four compartments in the container. For my four different vegetables. But they were all in one spot piled on top of each other. I hate for my food to touch. Hate it hate it hate it I’m actually disgusted didn’t eat a single bite of the food. That I wasted $11 on. And like I said I tried to call them to let them fix it. But I’ve been calling for hours upon hours to no avail. Absolutely ridiculous. I deserve a 100% refund. But yet I can’t freaking get it because I can’t get up to grandys thanks for literally ruining my day.

We went here pretty regular before the renovations, Just found out a week ago they had re-opened when Google said before they had “permanently” closed. I will admit I have nostalgic feeling to Grandy’s because my Dad used to take us to a different location when we were kids. But if you go on the right day, you can get a square meal for $4.99. Not too bad in 2023. And the service is good. No teenage window drive-thru BS. Nearly always a mature person at the drive-thru window. Sometimes I will treat myself to cobbler or a catfish dinner. But basically I go for the $4.99 deal. Their breakfast is solid as well. So ecstatic this specific location has reopened when I thought they had closed forever. Give it a try. Parking lot is much smoother now, no big dips. Gives you a feeling of the old days.

The food was delicious BUT nothing was prepared they told me it would be 15-20 minute wait while they cooked the food. I left there 30 minutes after I placed my order with my food to-go. They were short staffed doing their best and the drive-in was very busy. Slow service to their customers.

First-time coming here and the last, the catfish was not fresh and a little soggy. The drink machine had black mold on it and the Pepsi dispenser had dark slime dripping down it. Bad experience for the first-time. Manager was very nice.
