This was my 1st ever visit to Lisa’s Chicken. I’m from the south & I grew up on fried chicken & okra, so that’s what I came for. I ordered the 2 piece mixed with mashed potatoes, okra & a roll. The meal was priced under $7 which was nice. Everything was hot &tasted good. My only issue was that I paid extra for “mixed”chicken to try both their white & dark meat. They gave me a wing and thigh, a combo that I’ve never gotten before ordering mixed chicken before. I was expecting a breast piece in the mix, so I told the cashier. He claimed the wing was my piece of white meat & that was that. So if you want chicken breast at this place, apparently you need to specify that when you order or you’ll end up with a wing instead.

First of all, let me start by saying, just because a business has multiple locations, doesn’t mean they are all the same. The first time I went to Lisa’s I went to the location in Haltom City. I will admit they have their good and bad days but I didn’t give up on them since the good outweighed the bad. So, today I decided to visit the location off of I-35 near Western Center. I read the reviews and there was mixed feelings. A lot of the negative reviews spoke of their service at the drive thru. I went inside. Everything was clean and the dining area was very bright and inviting. There were even flowers on the table? I ordered my food and immediately checked it before I left. That’s the key. Everything appeared fresh. When I got home to eat, I was very satisfied. The chicken was well cooked and juicy and the okra was not greasy or over seasoned. The only issue I had was with the macaroni and cheese. The one in Haltom City is better.

Drive thru girl was a b!tch we asked for no ice on both drinks and still received ice and when asked for no ice agn she proceeded to take another cup and transfer old cup to new cup instead of throwing the other cup out and making a whole new cup then wanted to act stupid or maybe she’s not acting and says we didn’t ask for a new cup like really if you don’t want to wrk please get a new job or take a class on how to use your brain and give customer service to the people spending money at this establishment which in return pays you your minimum wage !
