Schellz Pizza Co was a concept idea designed during the heart of the 2020 lockdown. We strived for a unique take on the classic ‘Detroit Style’ pan pizza. Our ‘HokkaiDough’ is based on the delicious milk bread of Japan. ‘HokkaiDough’ is unique due to our fermentation process. Our pizzas are a labor of love, and are represented in each pizza we bake. We hope you like what we are cooking up.

You will look at the pizza and say “Detroit Style”, but it’s really a riff off of it. The Dough is sweet and the sauce/cheese is close but different. You still got those golden corners of caramelized cheese, but you also get a totally different pizza.

Saw the sign for this at Laurel Kitchens when picking up Palmsugar, which is in the same building. The reviews were so favorable I decided to try the first chance I got, which was tonight. It’s easily one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Wings are also solid, They hype up the dough for a reason – no clue how they get that balance of crispy outside/soft inside AND flavor. Whether you like the thicker style pizza or not, get this – it’s absolutely worth it. Owner was super friendly as well. I’ll be frequenting this spot, how lucky am I to have it like 2min away.
