My favorite spot for sushi in Santa Cruz County. I like to order the Gyoza before ordering a sushi roll. Staff is very friendly and give good reccomendations of their favorite menu items. We like to come at all different times of the day, we never have to wait more the 15mins. The atmosphere is inviting.

I ordered the Sake (salmon) sashimi meal and let me tell you…the slices of salmon was the absolute THINNEST pieces I have ever received from a Japanese restaurant. To charge $26.95 and serve that?! Even when someone from my table ordered the Tuna Sashimi meal and got thicker slices is just a slap in the face. Either tell the customer that you are running low on salmon (if that was the case) and order something different. Boom, that would have been simple than to give me literally transparent slices of salmon.

Good, not great food, so-so service. Our server, Kenichi was unfriendly and never cracked a smile the whole time we were there. When he brought the check, he didn’t say a word (like thank you or anything else), even though I had thanked him numerous times throughout the meal. He’s probably not the right person for that position and that made our meal less enjoyable.
