Real authentic Mexican food at good prices is hard to find. But Ernestos has it. The free chips and salsa are great too. The salsa has a good flavor and zip to it. Definitely recommend this place. We had the mole and tamales. Looking forward to trying more dishes my next time I visit!

Myself, my 2 kids & grandkids(1.5 & 5 months) went for lunch yesterday. We all ordered it took a good 25 minutes or so to get our food mine was messed up, my son ordered the quesadilla and he got a kids meal didn’t order a kid meal, my daughter’s was fine. All the food came out at separate times so I just thought the babies would be out but nope about 20 minutes or so goes by and I flag down the server and asked where his kid mask was and she looked at me like I was crazy she never put his kid mask order in. So here’s screaming because everyone is eating while he has no food(we were feeding him off our plates) and then they still proceeded to charge me for HER MESS UP!!! It was packed it was after church but it was noisy. I’ll stick to going to the one on Frederica.

The food is absolutely beautifully authentic. We went with no preconceived notions of anything and were absolutely surprised. The dishes are unique. The ceviche is better than anything I’ve had on or off the road, they have a pickled onions that make it unique among other Mexican restaurants. Service was on point, we even met the proprietor at our table who is a warm wonderful Man, the servers were attentive. The restaurant is clean and festive. Y’all gotta try them!

Worse experience I have ever experienced at a Mexican restaurant in my life. I always order chicken rice and cheese and they gave me the smallest portion I have ever received from any restaurant when ordering the chicken salad it had bbq chicken. I had my hopes so high after hearing so many good things but I will never come back here again. They basically took our money. We will stick with our favorite real hac or mi ranchito. It was worth a shot.

This was my first visit to this Ernesto’s. They have good chips and the salsa is more medium heat than other restaurants. I had the Shrimp Playa and it was really good. The lunch specials at $8 after tax make it priced right!
