As I exited my car in the parking lot I’ve noticed one of the Jimmy John’s employees leaving his car with food service gloves on. I entered the store directly behind the employee. I placed an order for a turkey Tom with bacon and extra mayo. The employee that walked in the store directly in front of me joined his co-worker at the counter and immediately obtained a roll and started cutting it. He DID NOT change his food service gloves after entering the store. I asked if he could change his gloves and he started to. At that time another employee cutting another roll made this comment to me;

Came here for lunch. Ordered the slim #4, any other jimmy johns I go to it comes with turkey, tomato. Lettuce etc. Well I get back to work to eat my sandwich. Open it up and its not a slim and it only had turkey on it. I didn’t have time to go back and correct it. I get you guys are trying to be “freaky fast” but let’s make sure we actually put the sandwich together correct

I can see this Jimmy John’s from my work. They took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get my sub here, for less than a half mile. I tip well, I know I could pick it up but I pay extra to not have to. When I called, I was told he was now only on his way, despite having marked it en route 20 minutes after the order was placed originally. I have never had this bad of service from Jimmy John’s before and I’m utterly disappointed. Its a Monday afternoon, I know it’s not THAT busy. Talk to your staff about their time management skills. Rude staff member getting mad at me because she can’t do her job and ask if I’d like a cup or bottled lemonade. Well okay I’ll get my lunch elsewhere from now on thank you for no longer making me feel welcome at your store. This is why I don’t bother signing up for rewards cards at these places because why bother when you no longer feel like going because of poor customer service.

It’s a Jimmy John’s – fast service and a good selection of sandwiches on the menu. Our service was quick, but unenthusiastic. We received no ‘welcome’ or ‘how can i help you’ and my ‘thank yous’ were unreturned by the employees wearing earbuds.
