Red Pepper in Seattle’s U-District offers delicious Chinese and Szechuan food. If you enjoy spicy food, you’ll love it here. We tried various dishes including chicken, tofu, tomato egg, and green beans, all flavorful. We also had lovely milk drinks. The service was quick and outstanding. I’d definitely go back.

Red Pepper is a cozy restaurant located in Seattle’s U-District. They offer a variety of comforting Chinese and Szechuan food along with offering modern twists as well. If you like spicy food, this place is definitely for you, and I highly recommend trying out the numbing spice. For our main meal, we ordered the chicken dry pot, the tofu with duck yolk, the stir-fried tomato egg dish, and the stir-fried green beans. We also ordered these cute little milk drinks, which were so refreshing especially after eating the spicy food Everything was so flavorful! My favorite was the tomato egg dish and the green beans. I enjoyed my entire experience here! The service was phenomenal and the food came out really quickly as well. Overall, I would definitely return 🙂

There’s this unexpected gem, you MUST try, in the U-District! It’s the Red Pepper Chinese Cuisine! They are this great clean and fairly fast restaurant, that serves up hearty and delicious meals! Most of their entrées serve 2 or more people (almost family style), so bring your appetite!!!

One of the best Sichuan food in Seattle! This is a famous and crowded restaurant you want to try at least once when in University District. Order their fried chicken and hot soup(s). Your mouth may be numb from the mala so becareful if you can’t handle the spice. Get here earlier as queues line up fast, especially during dinner time.

The food here is awesome! Authentic and tasty. All dishes are very heavily seasoned and on the saltier side, make sure to pair with rice. Service was fast and food was cooked fast as well. Highly recommend this restaurant 🙂
