I have been working in Oakwood area for the last week, and trust me when I say the burgers are the best I’ve had. Today I had the special .. Goulash and it did NOT disappoint. 100 percent recommend this place.

Just left there and man it was great. You can tell this was a small town Cafe as soon as you walked in. It felt just like a movie. The waitress was super nice and caring, took extra special care of my 5yr old and her popcorn chicken. Even on the road home she’s talking about how nice that lady was.

Oakwood, Oklahoma is nothing but a dot on the map. If you’re driving through on the highway you may miss it. There’s still people who live there but other than the skating rink in the old school gym, there’s not much else there. Well now there is!! Mandy Sherwood and her family has turned the old Hilltop Tavern into the all new Hilltop Cafe! It looks about the same outside BUT inside she has done a complete make-over. We came by to check out the new place and find out what all the fuss was about. The cafe has a down home country flair to it with horseshoes on the wall, a saddle in the corner and cattle brands on the doorway. It’s venue is small and cozy. We came in at a good time as it wasn’t real busy but steady with people calling in orders and ordering from Facebook. Mandy, an excellent cook by the way, carried out all her duties with ease and even came out to visit us. Cheyenne was our waitress and got our order down perfectly. She checked on us, kept our drinks full and did it all with a smile. If you’re ever in this area and want a good meal, this is THE PLACE to go!! There’s highchairs for the youngin’s and gift certificates available. Big trucks can park across the road too!!

Awesome little cafe. Stopped for breakfast on a road-trip. Portions are huge. Hilltop Mess was a good choice so was the all meat omelet and the sausage gravy and biscuits. Service was excellent.
