Need more words in my dictionary to describe our time at The Getaway! Food was good-fish dip, tacos, drinks okay… but the atmosphere and Lauren our waitress made the experience!! It has five areas in which ‘you pick’ to sit and enjoy your time there. The view is gorgeous, right on the water, boat coming and going, a little beach for ‘the kids’. Simple a great ‘island time’ experience.

Amazing atmosphere and so many options for seating. Great view. Tuna sandwich was good but I opted for a side salad instead of fries (which comes with the meal). But the salad was very small and came with a store packaged salad dressing… and an unreasonable additional charge to switch to side salad. They forgot my utensils too. I loved the atmosphere! It was pretty secluded. I almost passed it. Very relaxing place! Saw a dolphin up close while there. Boaters and paddle boarders were a part of the view as well. Island music playing in the background. Wasn’t busy the Sunday I went. The food is another story. It seemed to come in 5 minutes, so it was fast service. Doesn’t seem to be a real kitchen because it’s on the beach. Nothing seemed freshly cooked. Food wasn’t worth taking a picture. I would go back because of the relaxing atmosphere! I’d probably order appetizer chips and queso and take in the view!

Beautiful location overlooking the water. Food was fantastic and service was efficient. Multiple seating options including huge covered area with lots of tables and bar seating. We sat on the sand facing the water. Crab stack was by far my favorite selection. Conch fritters were good, as well as the shrimp po boy. Wings were excellent and the coconut shrimp is paired with a delicious orange marmalade. My eyes are set on the lobster tacos which I will be returning for in no time. Cocktails were made well and we honestly had no complaints!

The place is cute. We went on Mother’s Day, so it was busy. The food didn’t take long to come out but was nothing exciting and a little pricey for chicken wings and fries, but the drinks were on point. The atmosphere was chill and relaxing. Planning our next visit, not on a holiday weekend. Could not enjoy the water since it was taken over by gods gifts to mothers, children. Lol, I want to go back and watch the sunset on the dock.
