Such a welcoming staff, and they were so good to us, paying attention to every detail, and helpfully explaining the menu choices, even though we had no idea what we were ordering 🙂 Food was delicious (and spicy). More than filling! We needed to take some home and they sent us home with some extra sweets. Very very nice. Such a nice atmosphere. Very clean. I very much enjoyed this experience after our visit to the temple. Everyone was so kind to us at both places. Thank you.

This is a self-serve cafe and not quite a restaurant. I had a Thali and I was pleasantly surprised how good each food tasted. No napkin but a roll of brown paper towels. I wouldn’t want to take my wife there for a date though.

It is great to find a place that has Indian cuisine of fine restaurant quality at cafeteria prices. Shayona is presumably owned and run by the neighboring temple and so you will not find any meat on the menu (as with most Americanized restaurants). Nevertheless, the culinary experience is not diminishing by this Vedic tradition. Everything is surprisingly inexpensive and delightfully delicious. There is also an Indian food store, which has the most comprehensive selection of Indian candy that I’ve ever seen outside of the mother country. I spotted my father’s favorite candy and it brought tears to my eyes as I reminisced about my formative years in India.

Food tastes excellent. Cafe located in a separate building within swamy narayan mandir campus. Spacious cafe, friendly staff, very reasonably priced healthy food. We just love the mandir view from cafe seating. Also lots of choices for fresh made sweets and savories.
