Keep in mind that we’re party of four and ordered only 3 dishes. It’s Irvine portion, but they are delicious. The Hunan braised pork is sweet. We as a group agreed that we like beef fried rice the most out of the 3 dishes we ordered.

Great authentic Hunan cuisine. Great value for price! Service is good too. Water was topped up before I asked – drank a few glass because the hotness of some dishes. We were asked by the waitress if food and everything else was good. Happy to leave them a good tip. Will definitely go again when in the area!

I used to come here often. Their signature dishes were my favorite, as I love spicy food. But this past week, I ordered my usual 农家小炒肉 to go, big portion too. When I got home and opened it, fully 80% of the so call “meat” are pure fat. Never have I ever seen this at any restaurant. If I had dined in, I doubt they would do that to customers. But to scam a takeout customer and long time one at that. Disappointing to say the least.

The kelp in their soup looks synthetic. The other dish was sent wrongly and was too spicy to eat. One bite kept my stomach burning for 10 minutes. Ordered two dishes in total, and none of them was eatable.

Up there with some of the most BLAND FOOD I’ve ever had in my ENTIRE life. Ordered the Bean Curd and Vegetable soup. Bland. Ordered the Shrimp Fried rice. Bland. The fried rice was simply rice, shrimp egg, and soy sauce. BORING AND BLAND. Skip this place altogether. Only 1 beer on the menu. Everything is served with plastic utensils and plastic disposable cups for the beer. WTH?

Came here with my friend who is from Hunan. He said the flavor is not far off. So it’s a good choice. The eggplant in the tara cotta pot is delicious. It’s a small and quiet place with super high ceiling. Nice.

Waitress seems pretty friendly, I didn’t see what some of the other reviewers were talking about with regards to rude waitress. However it wasn’t very busy. They did forget to bring us tea, and didn’t prompt for rice (which is not included). However they were never rude.
