I was encouraged by the number of cars in the parking lot at almost 2 p.m. The waitress was not very welcoming and seemed to have very little English. Her service was perfunctory and not attentive at all. My wife and I were interested in the grilled fish offerings and she had sea bass and shrimp. I had the seafood plate with grilled catfish, shrimp, scallops, and oysters. The food arrived hot and appeared generous. Went downhill from there. While my catfish was some of the best I have ever had, my wife’s sea bass was dry. The dirty fried rice was bland. The grilled vegetables (zucchini, broccoli and onion) was not very well seasoned. The shrimp was okay but on the tough side. The scallops had a bitter edge and the oysters were probably the worst I have ever had. Very fishy! All in all a disappointing meal. I doubt we return.

We are on vacation and Jamie was absolutely amazing and made the best suggestions on meals for my children and assisted me with ensuring I avoided my food allergies. The food and atmosphere were just as good! If you’re ever in the area give them a try!!

Worst service in the state of Texas. No one smiled upon entry oh wait it’s because we had a toddler with us. Who was very good considering he was coming off of a few days being sick. RUDE WAITRESS AND HOSTESS MADE CUTTING REMARKS ABOUT THE BABY AS WE LEFT . I SHOULD HAVE SLAPPED HER BUT THAT’S NOT CHRISTIAN LIKE SO NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WILL NEVER BE BACK!!!!!

I had 1 fried fish fillet with 6 shrimp, fries and coleslaw. Good flavor and fresh crunchy fried goodness. A couple of cold beers to wash it down. I think I will come back and get fried shrimp basket for lunch tomorrow.

The food was good but not spectacular. It’s just like I’d expect. Taste like most of the food served out here. But it’s better than most. A lot of places have the worst oil flavor in the world and tastes like they have been using the same oil for the last month. Not here their fried foods didn’t all taste the same and they all had their unique flavor. With fresh oil.

We ate here on a recommendation from someone who grew up in Port Lavaca. They were right. Really good seafood. The place looked closed when we got there, but we walked in and were promptly seated. Our server was very friendly and informative about the menu. We really enjoyed our food, and the price was on par with other seafood restaurants. If we’re ever in the area again we will definitely eat here again.
