The place itself is pretty rundown. Furniture has holes and slashes in it. The staff is friendly though. You can tell they’re just hardworking people trying to make an honest living. Prices are a little higher than other Chinese takeout places around. They have a leg up over the Mandarin Wok a single block away from them in that the Mandarin Wok doesn’t take credit cards as a payment method, but Family Kitchen does. I like their pan fried dumplings more than their competition’s.

The restaurant people are very friendly quality of the food not that great couple of time. I have a very soggy french fry, and the eggroll was a lot of greaser. prices are Little big higher than the other Chinese restaurant in the area.

It’s just “ok”. The chicken wings aren’t whole (they keep the tips for themselves). The fried rice tastes like regular rice. These are the two most important traits by which l judge my Chinese food, so there’s nothing left for me to say. Good luck to you.

The order came to $30 though I took out many meat ingredients because I’m vegan and I added cashews for $1. The lady found that $1 could not be comp as a substitute for the meat items or the free soda they were giving me.

Mandarin Wok was closed on 10/13/21. Therefore, I decided to buy food from this restaurant (in person order). Since Mandarin Wok was close this restaurant had a lot of order. They were backed up with orders and very disorganized. All the staff were yelling at one another and the sad part is that they argued without a mask. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to order from Family Kitchen because my few last experiences were horrible but I was craving Chinese food and so I gave them one more chance. All I can say is that this restaurant need to be reinspected. Their food taste old and spoiled. My boyfriend and I ordered boneless spareribs with pork fried rice and broccoli chicken with white rice. The boneless spareribs we’re burnt and they gave us spaghetti not Lo Mein. The Lo Mein missed onions, peppers and many more ingredients. The broccoli chicken with white rice was disgusting. The chicken tasted tangy and it had a funny smell. I thought it was the soy sauce. My boyfriend and I were hungry so we ate a couple of spoon of each plate. Our stomach did not sit right with this food. Fifteen minutes after eating their food started to involuntarily gag and vomit. Their food might have salmonella.

Great little place! Got takeout the other day and had some delicious cheese wontons, vegetable dumplings, and shrimp and vegetables. The online ordering was also very easy, it was ready when i arrived and they even gave me two cokes i wasn’t expecting! Very happy, will be back

Worst Chinese restaurant I order on the phone and I got my order wrong. I called them back I explain and they told me I have to pay extra for my order and the woman with an attitude not understanding my point is her daughter who wears headphones got my order wrong and I told her more then one time. but the mother with an attitude telling me I don’t understand but she is not understanding me at the end of the day it’s not the first time it has happened with these people making mistakes after mistakes both in person and on the phone ordering food. I will never buying food there again!
