Stopped in with my family after a day at Kentucky Kingdom. We knew it would be good when we pulled up and it looked like a little hole in the wall, and we were not disappointed! Food was delicious and beautifully spiced, and the Arabic coffee was *chef’s kiss*. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I wished I had my own pot of it. Everyone was delighted with their food, even a cousin who had never tried middle eastern cuisine. Great service as well, she was very patient with those of us who couldn’t decide what we wanted! People have commented on the lack of background noise, but it was a nice change for me. Normally the music in a restaurant is so loud that you have to raise your voice to be heard across the table, but here it’s quiet and peaceful, and you can enjoy your meal with conversation at a normal indoor volume. Will definitely be coming back to Louisville just to eat here again!

Ordered chicken shawarma thought it’s their best dish as they were hanging big picture of it at the top. Rice was heated in microwave, I can feel it was not fresh. Ordered Beef kabob and it was horrible.. I called the person who served us and said food is not good then she said will call owner I said the same to the owner. He made a racist comment it’s a different kind of food than what we(Indians) eat. I told him nothing like that I am a foodie like to eat every halal restaurant. I showed him my Google review profile. He left from there and I think he said not to charge us. I left food as is. It was terrible

Stopped by to initially dine in for lunch but after entering the restaurant and seeing how dark the place is, my wife and I opted to get the food to go. Honestly, if there was a 0 rating I would have given it. The food was beyond DISGUSTING! We ordered chicken shawarma platter along with chicken shawarma sandwich and falafel sandwich. Instead we received boiled shredded chicken on top of microwaved rice. Hummus was something that is not even related to Hummus. The sauce tasted expired. We ended up throwing away the food right after. If you want authentic mediterranean food, this is not the place to go. Beyond horrible.

Don’t let the outdoor appearance fool you. This place has authentic Middle Eastern fare: fresh, flavorful, and friendly. It reminded us of our time in Jerusalem. Highly recommend.

The food is good until you see where it’s coming from it’s so dirty and caked w grease food grim the walls to. No one washes there hands. I was there a week and got fired because I wanted to cleaned and was told they had to give keys to owner cuz they were shutting place down in 2 wks. I believed it. But come to find out I believe they just didn’t have nerve to say ur fired cause u not only care about serving I think the restaurant should be clean on inside in kitchen for sure and outside I offered to paint n spruce up to make it more appealing to the eye. Needs a lot of work and health dept to clean it up.

I used to work here and I can tell you that they don’t wear gloves when handling your food. Especially the pita bread. The cook smokes cigarettes in the kitchen and the manager is two faced. This place is absolutely gross.
