Had a great experience at this restaurant 5/25 – the food was amazing & you get huge portions for a good price. No wait and food came out quickly! As a Balkan person myself, I rate it a 9/10. Only reason it’s not a 10/10 is bc I wish they had lepinje but they did have homemade bread that was super fresh!

Perhaps it was an off day. But I’d avoid this place at 4 on a Tuesday and also if you don’t already know the food and culture. I asked a question about the Turkish coffee (does it come in decaf?) and was sneered at. Sorry – guess it’s not ok here to not know that. The tomato soup was lukewarm, and the goulash salty, but the service was lethal. Guy couldn’t crack a smile. Haven’t felt so unwelcome since traveling Cinqua Terra! Thought maybe it was me – tried a bar a mile away and was greeted with a smile. Yup. Glad others had a great experience, but I won’t be back.

Great beer selection: ex-Yugoslavian beers, like Niško, Tuzlansko, … “Checkwar”

This restaurant is nothing fancy, but the food is authentic and delicious. Group of 5 of us, go to eat on a Saturday afternoon. The waiter informs us they DON’T do separate checks. FIVE people! No one else in the restaurant but us. We then had to scramble and decide how to pay. Come on, if the restaurant was busy, no to separate checks. The place has maybe 5 parking spaces, and it’s best to enter the parking lot from Belmont St. Unfortunately after this visit we won’t return. There’s plenty of restaurants on Belmont that do separate checks. Suggestion :put a sign on restaurant door explaining no separate checks.

Great food and atmosphere! My husband loved the chicken kebabs. I had the grilled vegetables which were delicious and ate the greek salad off his plate which was super fresh! We also shared a small mezza plate, which was delicious. We can’t return and try more things!
