Villa Italian Kitchen was founded with one store, one family, and one concept in 1964 when our founder, Michele “Michael” Scotto brought his authentic old-world recipes from Naples, Italy to New York City. Michele’s commitment to hospitality, quality ingredients (like homemade dough, 100% whole milk mozzarella and fresh sauce), and the strict loyalty to his now famous recipes, built the business. From that first Villa Pizza that opened in 1964, next to the CBS/Ed Sullivan Theater on Broadway, to nearly 300 Villa Italian Kitchen restaurants later, our commitment to quality and genuine hospitality remains the basis of our foundation.
Counter-serve pizza chain with traditional pies & slices, plus pasta & other Italian staples. Based on 24 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 2.5 stars. Price

Me and my husband ate here on our way to a movie this past Saturday, we each ordered a piece of pizza and a side dish. My husbands side was the Caesar salad and I had the garlic rolls. Pizza tasted ok, crust wasn’t great. But Sunday morning my husband woke up and started feeling sick, and still is on Tuesday. Come to find out he has salmonella poisoning from the salad. Pretty sure they gave him romaine lettuce that was supposed to be recalled from that big one a couple weeks ago. Definitely won’t be eating here again.

My husband and I visited yesterday. The food is expensive, but we thought pizza or Stromboli sounded great and if it was the quality we expected, we’d have been happy. We ended up choosing stromboli. When we ordered, the cashier’s behavior seemed ‘off.’ I noticed that the other person working behaved the same way. It’s like they were never trained in customer service. For instance we ordered stromboli, which was already cooked and sitting in the window. The cashier walked away without saying what she was doing and stood over near the stromboli for awhile, while talking to the other worker. I then saw them take the already cooked pizza that the other customers were ordering and put it back in the oven. After awhile the cashier came back over. I asked my husband what he thought was going on and he said that he though they were microwaving our stromboli, that he saw them stick something under the ‘hot display’ case. When we got our food, it did seem like it had been microwaved. However, it was already cooked, so why are they putting already cooked pizza back in the oven and possibly microwaving already cooked stromboli? The bread and cheese texture was off, and the stromboli was very hot. I do think they microwaved it. This makes me wonder if there hot case isn’t keeping the food up to temp. If that is the case, then it’s likely that bacteria is growing on it, while it’s sitting at a temperature that isn’t correct. Something is def. off. The people working there were quiet, and behaving oddly as well. I’m not sure if it’s always this way or not. We won’t be ordering from there again.

Ordered the triple plate. Cashier gave us the salad then stared at us like we where suppose to leave. I had to ask him about my spaghetti twice. He gave me the spaghetti and walked away. I had to wait for 5 mins before he can back out. He asked me what I was waiting for. I asked him where my bread was. He told me they are out. That would have been nice to know before I ordered and payed for the food. He asked me if I wanted a cookie instead. I said yes. He grabbed a cold cookie placed in in the oven with out a cooking sheet or foil for about 1 min. He gave me the cookie with was still cold and left to the back. The also warm there pizza up the same way, no cooking sheet, no foil.l, same oven.

Ordered a stromboli and they didn’t tell me there was jalapeno in it. My meal came with 3 garlic knots but they only had 2, so I said I would take a meatball to even it out and then they charged me for the meatball. Got to the table and everything is so cold I’m afraid of food poisoning. Disappointing all around.

Not only do they treat their employees bad. Working their managers to the bone. Which is why they lost most of them in a few months. The food is not great especially when they have people making it that care….the food always tastes better when people care :'( hope they can get their act together
