Found this amazing place just by opening up google maps and seeing what’s around me for lunch. I decided to give it a try and not one regret. I ordered Combo #2 and the food was fresh off the skillet. It tasted soooooo good, the batter is perfectly spot on. Looking forward to coming back to try other items on the menu. The staff is so nice and friendly, definitely make you feel welcomed.

PERFECT!! I found this place on Google due to all the reviews and I’m telling you what, they did not disappoint! The fish is perfectly cooked and I love the light breading on the shrimp. The service was amazing and the portions are large. This is a new fave for me and I’ll be back ASAP!

Ordered catfish and shrimp basket.. fish was not cooked thoroughly.. fish was pink inside. Called manager he apologized and offered me a new meal.. went back and then got scolded for not ordering my fish extra crispy.. I didn’t need it extra crispy sir I wanted it cooked properly. I will never come back to this place.

Omg I can’t believe that I found my favorite seafood restaurant this was delicious I’m truck driver been all over the country but this Ocean Shak restaurant is amazing you haven to give it a try fried shrimp easy to find this place right down by the Volvo semi dealership. 2 minutes walk great food great service.

We randomly found ourselves in this area of Dallas and were looking for a quick sit down meal with yummy food and we definitely found the place. The restaurant while older (adds to the charm in my opinion) was very clean and the food was prepared very quickly. They had healthier options for their combo meals that I appreciated. Everything seemed fairly priced. They have daily specials you can select from too. The catfish and shrimp we ordered all turned out great. We ate everything. 😀 The owner/manager was very friendly, warm, and hardworking. The area is more of an industrial area, but the parking lot was easy to navigate and they accept to go orders too. A lot of people were placing phone orders and picking them up during our visit. Overall, if we were in the area again we would not hesitate to stop by.

Don’t let the location fool you. Worth the drive. My catfish and shrimp were prepared perfectly. They were served quickly and were piping hot. The wait staff went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed.

Did a quick Google search for fried seafood and Ocean Shak popped up with decent reviews so o decided to try it. Pulling up to the building had me a bit hesitant, looked old. As I entered I was greeted and he asked if I was a first time customer, I said yes and he gave me some suggestions on his best sellers. I ended up ordering the 4 shrimp and 1 fish combo, comes with fries, hush puppies, cocktail, and tarter sauce. Well the food was awesome. The shrimp were huge. The fish was also meaty. Both very well seasoned, you can tell that the seasoning was in the batter and not just dusted on top.

Absolutely fabulous! The shrimp, catfish and oysters were all fresh, lightly dredged in cornmeal and perfectly fried. Crispy and golden. Great tartar sauce and fries, too. Just a wonderful experience. Low key, casual fish shack atmosphere. Family operation. The owner, his wife and son work together. We will definitely be back whenever we are in the Dallas Design District.
