Kirin is a very chill sushi and noodle restaurant. We tried a few things from here. Some I was very satisfied with and some I wasn’t. The Kirin bun was phenomenal. Very good flavors and the bun so soft. The sushi we both had was very very good. When it came to the ramen, it was okay. I had the Garlic ramen and it had a very eggy, porky flavor that did not hold up to ramen I’ve had from shops down in Madison Heights. Will I be back to try more things? Absolutely. Other than the ramen, the other food was amazing and I will be trying the other bowls of ramen as well.

Worst fried rice I’ve ever had. No crunch. Mushy. Tasted like a rice side dish of the spice of a grocery store. Hibachi chicken was good. Great crab rangoon. Only to be brought down by the sauce that was thick and red like ketchup. Funny part was the sauce tasted like ketchup. I don’t eat sushi but the wife enjoyed hers.

I cannot rate the dining in experience, as I ordered take out. I took my time, and I looked at all the reviews of sushi restaurants in my area. And I have been to just about all of them. When I walked in the restaurant to pick up my takeout order, I looked over at someone’s plate and the sushi looked amazing. I wanted that dine in experience to go. I guess I wasn’t willing to spend $30 on a takeout order. I tried the 3 roll special and they were delicious, but small and expensive for their size. So I was left wanting more. I really thought the sushi rolls would be a lot larger in size . But I guess that’s what you get when you order from the bargain menu. I’m sure a dining in experience would be better. But if you want to excel as a restaurant, you have to provide the same food quality and service, with your takeout as you do with your restaurant patrons. I might give it a chance again and order one of the premium more costly rolls. If I do I’ll let you all know. Thanks for listening.
