LOVE the raviolis– I get them every time. Large portions, good prices, extensive variety in menu options. The staff is extremely friendly and give great service– willing to go above and beyond and meet all expectations. Never had bad food from here, and enjoy it! The atmosphere isn’t the best, it feels almost unfinished, but the food and service makes up for it.

Amazing and friendly service! Great food! Super fast service, wonderful tasting food and friendly service from the moment you walk in the door. The owner took time to talk with us and show us the kitchen area after I said my fiance used to work for the old business, Half Nelson’s. Couldn’t be happier that we chose to eat here, and we will back!

Just off of Hwy 45 in New London. My family and I had breakfast / lunch there a few weeks ago. The food quality was excellent and the owner / chef is very friendly. Can’t wait to be back in the area and eat at Val’s again.

I’m a fan of second chances but come on…. First visit, one week (ish) into being open: system is down, orders don’t come out for over an hour. We got up and left hungry and upset. Second visit, December 2016, we order country fried steak, menu description states made of beep. We assume typo, and ask the waitresses who assures us its me and beaf. Order’s come, we cut into our steaks (keep in mind we ordered two) both have whiteish insides. Beef can’t be white… So we ask hey what are we eating… Guy tells us its pork. Then says that’s what the menu says. He looks at one and apologies but damage done, my food was WAY wrong. Two big mistakes, two vists. I’m sorry but I don’t recommend this restaurant and won’t be back again. On the bright side the wait staff is great!

Heard this place was really good from some locals. And since the owners are Italian, I thought the Italian dishes would be the best on the menu. I asked about a Calzone… Which was in the menu online… They said, “sorry, no calzones!” So I chose the Chicken Parmesan… Noodles overcooked, sauce was weird, chicken cutlet, at least, was pretty good. I hope some of the rest of the menu is really good… But, I was passing thru, so, likely won’t get to try anything else for a while.

Picked up a lasagna dinner. Lots of sauce, great flavor and definitely will be back for more. Lived many years in an Italian suburb of Chicago and miss the great food down there. Not anymore! Welcome to our neighborhood, Val!

Service was nice but Friday food was not good lettuce was old an wet..fish fry was bad. French fries were good. 3 times we have had bad food our of 4..1 of them bad service. Sad I wish it was better
