If you think this is just a dessert restaurant, you are totally missing out! Their Hong-Kong-style breakfast is a a must-try option in San Francisco. The turnip cake and congee was spectacular, and the chow mien (fried noodles) were alright. Overall, most things could use slightly more flavor, but they are absolutely delicious and authentic!

Frustrating experience! we stopped for breakfast before catching a flight and that was a mistake. we waited for over an hour as dishes all came at different times and so we ate one at a time. The host kept on explaining how there was only one person in the kitchen, whom could apparently only cook one dish at a time. Ok fine but to cap this the last dish was chow main and came out burnt. The noodles were charred, and both smell and tasted accordingly. After complaining, the host insisted on saying its how it’s supposed to taste, which is hard to swallow when 3 of us are from Canton. We didn’t touch it and she wouldn’t take it back nor off the bill. When you put money in front of customer satisfaction, you’re bound to fail imo. Btw the inside looks run-down so can’t even give a better rating about the decor and atmosphere. Good luck surviving with this kind of attitude and poor customer service. We won’t come back and won’t forget to tell our friends not to bother.

This place used to be packed when I visited the area few years ago. There were only us when we came by this time. Their food quality was good. Prices are reasonable but horrible customer service. They seemed to be busy talking among themselves while customers are waiting

Dessert is great. I always come here for durian chendol. Singaporeans or south east Asians living here would appreciate the traditional desserts from this place. Delicious but slightly expensive. Sadly it’s cash only. Love the durian glutinous black rice and the ovaltine maltesers drink!

As a HKer, this was 1 of the best HK breakfast outside of HK, maybe as good as in HK. Some of the reviews mention bad service BUT we had great service. I think it comes down to if you speak Cantonese or just English. The staff are old school Cantonese so speaking definitely helps. While we were there, only Chinese ate there. We had the rice rolls with the traditional 3 sauces, spicy, peanut and sweet- excellent taste. HK milk tea was very good, I even got 1 to go. Mince beef congee was very good and lots of meat in it, good flavor and hot. My mom had the HaiNan chicken with rice. It was cooked perfectly and the rice had the chicken fat cooked the traditional way. Cash only, Overall, 5 stars for me.

Everything we ordered were very poor quality. From clay pot to deserts, nothing tasted good or even close to restaurant quality. Service was poor. The male server, assuming the owner, couldn’t answer any of our questions about the menu. He had to ask his wife who stood next to him every question we asked. It’s like a joke! Will not return for sure.

Their clay pot is good and some other items. The only bad thing about this place is their HK Milk tea which doesn’t taste good and the toast that they serve with their breakfast is small. Still a decent place. I heard their noodle soup is good.

Food was actually pretty good. Service was slow and unfriendly. I’m guessing she doesn’t speak English because we were playing guessing games and pointing at pictures. As if the service wasn’t bad enough, the place was “not the cleanest”.
