Drive by this place very often and finally decided to give it a try. The mixto, carnitas/cuerito/buche, is definitely worth 6 stars! I decided to also try the burrito de carnitas and it had so much Pico de gallo, I could not eat it. The smell stayed on my hands, it completely ruined my burrito. Did not eat it, took a few bites and had to throw it away. I would definitely go back and try it with no Pico..yes I did ask before ordering what went into the burrito, Pico was not mentioned. The place was clean, they get the orders out fast, very nice staff. Definitely recommend the mixto, you won’t regret it.

Mixed Carnitas was awful, the meat was flavorless and had a fatty film on it. Ordered the 1 lb mixed with flour tortillas (payed extra for flour), they brought me corn tortillas. Hot AF inside the dining area. Definitely don’t recommend unless your celebrating your dog’s birthday. Dogs will eat just about anything….

I do highly recommend the Horchata, as the cinnamon and rice flavor is pungent, and a drink itself is not overly sweet. Food items are reasonably priced especially considering that the current state of inflation. I do think that the tacos especially the mixed meat can be a hit or miss. One taco I got was a lot of tendon and to shoot me. And this is coming from somebody who likes more unconventional mear.

Wow! So happy I finally stopped by and tried this place. Definitely worth it. I’ll be coming here regularly from now on. The pound of carnitas, I got 2 1/2 actually, is great for sharing and leftovers too. Moist and delicious.

First time going to Don Alberto I was introducing my girlfriend to real Mexican food we live in Alaska and the Mexican food we have here is so so and had been telling her about how good Mexican food is in California Don Alberto’s impressed her and also me the guy that helped us out at the counter gave her a little bit of everything to try before we bought I don’t wanna get him in trouble but it was amazing and we bought a bit of everything they had to offer my girlfriend she is in love with Don Alberto’s as well as am I, Mexican food up here in alaska will never be the same for her again but congrats on having the best carnitas I’ve ever had in the LA area hands down !

We been coming here every sunday and This is the spot for your carnitas! I’ve been getting 1/2 lb of carnitas,cuerito and buche mix and it does not disappoint. The staff is very friendly every time we go. The place to be. Menudo is so good it’s gone By 12 or even before.
