Obviously a locals favorite as they were almost full when we arrived and they quickly had a line while we were there. Ordered our eggs, bacon, hash browns, my wife had the biscuits and I had an english muffin. The food arrived with very good homemade jelly (which they sell by the jar). The bacon (3 pieces) was well cooked, crispy. Everything was cooked well and the service was good!

Classic family run diner. Food was delicious with generous portions. Service was friendly and efficient but our server was busy. The Red Rooster is popular so choose your visit time wisely. Google Maps reports that 9 am to 10:30 am are the busiest times. It’s worth the wait if you can’t get a table right away.

What a treat, not only got a perfectly cooked chicken fried steak, also had an amazing assortment of jams and jelly and syrup, and have whole pies that are available to take home, plus the waitress was awesome.

Don’t put me in a box
This place is a hidden gem in Billings. I googled best homemade breakfast in Billings and tried a couple of the spots before coming to Red Rooster but haven’t tried any more SINCE coming to Red Rooster. It is my go-to breakfast spot, the food is always absolutely fabulous, it tastes like actual home cooking “like grandma used to make”. My husband and I are from Texas/Florida and we’ve lived all over the nation coast to coast, top to bottom and we both guarentee Red Rooster holds it’s own against any breakfast spot you’ve ever been to. PLUS THEY DELIVER! You can’t beat that! If you’re from the south try their biscuits and gravy, I bet you’ll be hard pressed to say you’ve had much better.

I greatly enjoy the food here, it is one of my go to breakfast places. I have been there at least 10 times. The dine in area is small, so they might be full at some hours, along with a bit of a bland menu, but you’re 90% there for good food and that’s what you get

We arrived for breakfast before an appointment. We ordered, and then we waited…. A person that arrived and ordered well after us had gotten their food. We were told 20 minutes after ordering their was a mishap with the printer for the orders. Usually not a problem, as mistakes and stuff happens. Waitress was not in the best of mood, and we weren’t told about what happened until we needed to leave.
