This place is hands down my new favorite hot chicken! Everything is so delicious, & not greasy AT ALL. Apart for it being Halal (which I appreciate) it’s all made fresh! You MUST try their new wings, I got the mango habanero & it was soooo good. I can’t hype this place up enough, it’s so good. We also ordered their chicken sandwich’s and tenders. The tenders were so juicy! Definitely a must try. This place is also very clean, smells great, & friendly staff. Don’t skip out on mean chix. Do your self a favor & get some asap!

Shout out to Giorgio! The food was amazing, the atmosphere welcoming, & the food?! LISTEN. Seasoned well! Not too salty! Just right. My favorite is the fried pickles, hands down. But everything was good & you’ve got to try the mean fries. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fried pickles! I’m craving them now! Lol

For the price this is a really good option. I’m glad there’s a Nashville chicken spot here in plaza Mexico but the only thing is (at least the time I went) the chicken was pretty bland. It needed more seasoning (which is weird because in the picture it looks like it has enough) but the fries and everything was good. I’ll definitely have to try this again but for now it’s decent. Staff were extremely friendly and the place is clean.

This place was good! Tried a few items from their menu but what I really liked were the Mean Tacos. chopped chicken and tacos are life! Lol there are different spice levels and even no spice! I got medium & it was perfect for me! I also tried the mean sandwiches & mean tenders! Chicken was moist & flavorful! Fried pickles were good too, very crispy!

If you’re looking for some good quality chicken, this place right here is it. Halal Nashville hot chicken is amazing! I got my meals in Medium spice and it was perfect. Not too spicy but still spicy at the same time. It was literally perfect. The Mac n cheese was really nice and creamy. The meal bowl was my favorite. Fries, chicken tenders, pickles, kaleslaw and the tasty house sauce. I will be back for the mean tacos. Those things looks exotic and delicious

Omg, I can’t believe these reviews ♂️, I’m not sure if these people with a high review have ever tried any other Nashville hot chicken restaurant. I have tried many, if not most, of the hot chicken shops around, and this one is by far the least enjoyed. It’s my second time giving this spot a chance. The first time was not pleasant either, chicken is super bland, no flavor and mostly dry, breading on the chicken tasted as if it was cooked in old oil, looks dark and medium spice was as if it didn’t have any spiciness. Kale slaw was bland and just as tasteless as the chicken, regular bread which makes the sandwiches even more pale in any flavor, nothing pops out with any particular liking that you can enjoy, sauce is weak and disappointing doesn’t taste like anything!!! You’ll get more kick or flavor by mixing ketchup and mayo… fries are also plain and boring, nothing to give your palette any excitement of flavor from anything. Would not recommend it!

What a great gem inside of plaza Mexico. Mean Chix is in a great location. After grabbing some delicious halal/Nashville chicken sandwich or tenders from them you can walk around inside their indoor swap meet and walk off the filling meal. They use premium chicken and make everything as the orders come along. They use kale slaw instead of coleslaw which is different but in a good way. Their fries are seasoned well. Yo if you haven’t been here and you live near lynwood then you need to deadass check this spot out. The owner and the staff are very welcoming and awesome!

Tbh most Nashville chicken spots disappoint, but not here! I was pleasantly surprised by the balance of flavors and spice! They have nice sized combos that are fairly priced! Their house sauce is bomb with everything. I ordered my sandwich and tender combo in medium and it was a good amount of heat for me. I put some honey on my tender and it was the perfect combo of spicy and sweet. The Mexican coke washed everything down nicely too! Their Mac n cheese was thick and cheesy and the fried pickles were very crunchy. It’s very clean inside and the staff is super friendly! I will come back when I’m in the area!

Y’all, Mean Chix does NOT play around with their spicy chicken sandwich game! Each one is stacked high with a gigantic tender that literally hangs out of the buns and their own special kaleslaw. The chicken is juicy inside without being too “briny” and over-marinated.

First off place was hard to find, i drove around the plaza 2 times and couldn’t find it. Came to find out restaurant is on the 2nd floor which is hidden and can’t see from street view. Food was decent, nothing too special. I prefer Dave hot chicken over this place. Howling rays is the best, cant even compare it to this place. Price as about $12 per combo which is not bad because it comes with alot of food. I will say this place is better than Crimson Coward l. I’ll give this place a 3/5, food was ok, i got the ‘Hot’ level spicy and it tasted like it it was mild (not spicy at all) I wouldn’t come back again especially with the hassel of just trying to find parking and going upstairs for decent food wasn’t worth it to me.
