The best seafood place in Ashe County. We went today after church. I ordered flounder fillet with french fries,slaw and hush puppies and it was enough to feed two. Fast service and food was fresh and delicious. Can’t ask for any better than that

Friday night before 5:00. Wait was ok at 25 min. Once seated we got our drinks right away. 7 tables but one waitress. Despite being over extended she remained cheerful and friendly. We unfortunately ordered the wrong food. It’s just wrong when the best food on my plate was the coleslaw. My wife’s crab cakes were 90% breading. My grouper was a very thin very overcooked filet.

We’ve eaten there before and it was okay but last night must have been the wrong night to go. I ordered the prime rib medium rare. I was served a slice of beef, about 1/8 inch thick (no exaggeration) with a couple globs of fat underneath, so well done it wouldn’t even slice. It was like shoe leather. I NEVER send food back at a restaurant but this was totally inedible. I asked for a fillet mignon instead. Our entire party finished their dinners and had dessert before the replacement steak came. Not a good experience. We will not be back.

Walked in at 2 and server took right away. Food came almost an hour later. Got large fried seafood platter. Lots of food for $20 but… Fish (menu said flounder) was very good. But 3 oysters were cold, lots of calabash shrimp more like popcorn shrimp that were fried wet and 2 crab cakes tasty but no crab. And no hush puppies. Coleslaw was room temp.

Went for the weekend breakfast buffet. It was very reasonably priced and had a good assortment to choose from. They even had livermush, which is a regional specialty. If you want a pancake you let your server know and they will cook a large one just for you.

Don’t eat here unless you want a plate of grease. They should rename it the chum bucket. Also a literal child was working the counter. Burger was best part. Salad bar had brown lettuce and squishy tomatoes. Fries and onion petals were nothing but grease. Waitresses were super nice tho

Only my first time,and my other half (old man) new how I love seafood,took me there last week end for my 53 birthday! We were running late they close at 8 we got there at 7:30,let me tell ya it’s the best food I have ate!!! We were not rushed at all even sit there after their close n time the staff were very very nice when we got there the other customers were quite ,that how I knew the food had to be awesome,I will be returning again,Thank you very much Mountain Aire seafood and steak.

They serve the best seafood around this area. We come from an hour and a half to stay here in this area for the weekends and holidays. We always try to get something from Mountain Aire when we are up here. My husband I highly recommend this restaurant.
