We were greeted with a friendly smile and immediate service as we walked in. That’s when the service stopped. The bartender was hard to get a hold of in such a small place between being on the cell phone and playing pool. One of the other patrons said that the women’s bathroom was in need of a plunging… Again. I walked over to get the bartenders attention from playing pool to close us out, apparently the people next to us at the bar were waiting for quite a while for their trash as well.

The bar tender at the jam who is like 45 old guy name tie stole my 100 after waiting almost a hr for drink, then jumped me for no reason. Worst service and drinks, He has jumped many locals 5 people to 1. Most the locals realizes hes a fake person. His karma is coming ounce he messs with the wrong guy, or doesn’t have 4 people to help him jump people. Be a real man. Even hit my gf for no reason. Hope this place goes out of business for treating customers that way

very slow service especially at the bar oftentimes it seems like it’s inconvenience to serve the customers unfortunately there’s no longer a whole lot of options when it comes to nightlife and Arcata so by default this place is staying busy the owner is a great guy it’s just very poorly managed by the people he is running it and a relatively lousy staff minus a few shining stars. Repulsive restrooms, I’d suggest using Everett’s restroom across the street, probably grab a drink or two while over there. Or if your a dude simply go outside to the alley and drain the ole lizard. It’ll save you from the gut wrenching smell and stomping around in urine on the floor of the rarely cleaned restrooms

The bartender Devon (not sure if I’m spelling it right!) was so awesome and friendly. Had the BEST steak in the county (yes even compared to all the other places that are supposed to be the “bes”.) Everything was perfect and delicious and the champagne was great! The new cook is FANTASTIC! My husband’s Philly was also incredible.

Went here for a birthday lunch. Our server/bartender was awesome. Sadly, not her fault, everything was way overpriced. A bottle of Wycliffe California Champagne was $38. This usually sells for $5-$6 at the store. It is cheap, cheap champagne. That is the hugest mark up I’ve ever seen at a restaurant. They are really screwing their customers. The veggie burger was the worst veggie burger we’ve ever tasted. It was hardly even a patty, just a blob of mush. Chicken wings came over way undercooked and blubbery, thank goodness our server sent them back to the kitchen to get cooked before she even got it to the table. Once they came back, cooked, they were really good. The shrimp salad was good but very expensive, only 3 shrimp were on it. This place has potential but they really need to go over their prices.

Food was an hour late. Drink was really watered down and the server forgot to put in half our order. I love the live music, the food is decent but nothing special. If you want a $13 burger with a beer on tap and good live music sometimes, this is an alright place to go. For anything else I’d go anywhere else
