I was here for lunch. The waitstaff was nice and attentive, but the food was just slightly better than ok. In their defense, I had a Mexican lunch and maybe that isn’t really what they excel in, but most of the meals were not something a vegetarian could eat, so Mexican was the best option. The salsa is not worth the chip calories. My exact words on the first bite was, “oh, that’s disappointing.” I asked for Cholula and it was watered down. Overall, I would not go back, but the field in the back had prairie dogs and that was really cool! I may stop by to look at them again.

the owner was very rude. did not sit my party of three because we are young, and claimed he wasnt sitting people down after 8 even though he let a mother and her two kids in. the food is overpriced, the dishes were dirty, and there were roaches literally coming out of the kitchen. they treat their staff horribly and treat the customers like theyre stupid. the food is very mediocre for its price.

Clean and good food but server seems to be confused and unaware of how to take proper orders. The server we had got 1 out of the party of 4’s appetizer order and left the table without any explanation and didn’t come back for several minutes like no one else wanted anything. Food was brought out at different times and had to wait forever for drink refills.

Waiter was okay, house salad was pricey at $3.95 it was a $2 salad Teriyaki Chicken and shrimp was good but at $28 for one person I’ll zoom by to China moon for $4 less. Usually don’t pay this much for one person…

We’ve wanted to try Rock Island for a while. It was just ok. The chips and salsa was the best thing. I had tea and lemonade that was so weak, it tasted like soured water. My seafood platter looked overcooked but I think the grease was either too hot or too old because the batter was gummy next to the fish/shrimp. The fries tasted like old grease and were dark, too. My husband had fajitas. They were ok, but sorely lacking in peppers. He found 3 tiny pieces and the rest was onions. Our server was mediocre. She took our order, someone else gave us our food, and we didn’t see her again until we were ready for the ticket. She never asked if our food was ok, if we needed a refill, etc. Meanwhile, the server for the table next to ours was excellent. She checked on her diners, kept their drinks filled, and did her job. Too bad she wasn’t ours. All in all, this was a disappointment and we probably won’t go back.

This was a neat and unique place. The artichoke and spinach dip was hot (always a great plus!!!), and i would even suggest that it was homemade. Very tasty and the corn chips were warm, crispy yet light.

It was ok. Just a bit better then the average greasy spoon diners and that was only because of decour. The hamburger patties tasted very bland, kids pizza was tonys little pizzas you can find at most convenience stores and my kids didnt finish them. No beer on tap.
