The food was very delicious. The platanos(fried plantains) were on point delicious. The rice and pease(black beans) were delicious as well. I got the ox tail, which was delicious. The meat was tennder, and gravy was very good. My husband got the Jerk chicken he loved it as well. The chicken was practically falling off the bone. And it had a lot of heat. Very spicy. Not for my husband though.

Only thing good was the Mac n Cheese! Collards nor cabbage has any taste to them! The rice is mushy and sweet the jerk chicken wasn’t giving jerk…the sauce was poured on top top and it’s very sweet also!! My favorites wasn’t open on today so I thought I’d try the one that was open on Mondays for the first time. Unfortunately I want be returning! The wait time was a little long for me also.. had to wait for some things me and other customers

I was craving Jamaican food and Island Pot hit the spot. The jerk chicken was tender, coco bread hot and fluffy, the plantains, crispy and tender inside, the rice and peas, and collard greens full of flavor. The collard greens are cooked without meat, yet tasted as if they’d simmered for hours in a meaty stock. The portions are generous and prices reasonable. The space was clean, 100 on their inspection. My “baked beans, potato salad” husband devoured the chicken, collards and rice and peas.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I must say I was very pleased with the customer service, I was greeted when I walked in and they took their time taking my order. My food was still hot when I got home and it was delicious and well seasoned. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I’ll be a returning customer.

This is a small restaurant, but has big flavor to offer. My party ordered various dishes, oxtail, curry chicken, and jerk chicken. Everything was seasoned well and portions were worth the price. If you are in the area give them a visit.

The food is really good. Got the jerk chicken lunch special with rice and peas, cabbage and oxtail gravy on the rice. And a sweet muffin. Get extra jerk sauce because it’s soooo delicious (if you like spicy) And only $10 for everything. 10/10. Best Jamaican spot in the area
