The food was . I got the turkey (tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection), macaroni (cheesy and very flavorful), yams (buttery, sweet deliciousness), DRESSING was so good, make you want to slap yo momma (just kidding mom lol). My husband got the greens and he said they were awesome as well. Everything we ordered was out of this world DELICIOUS. The lady at the counter was very nice. I would absolutely recommend this place. Thank you Mississippi Boy for make our experience a great one

The food is good. But timing is everything. When you say 45 minutes wait time to a customer, but it turns out to be almost 2 hours, seems like there needs to be a change in the pattern on who’s doing what in the kitchen.

So I was in search of some really good food today especially catfish and spaghetti… so I googled soul food near me boom Mississippi Boy comes up I look at the pictures I’m like yes this where I’m gonna get my cravings met at. So I order a Catfish dinner it comes with 3 sides so I choose greens, Mac and cheese and spaghetti. And something told me order another side just in case so I ordered more greens and dressing…. So boom i wait the 20 mins and it’s all hot and fresh!! I’m like can I leave a review? She like yes yes you can because I just knew it was gonna satisfy all my cravings… So I get to 57 and im like i cant wait no more i open the bag and Omggg the greens Omgggggg I ate the bowl by time I got to 73!’ All the food was delicious!!! And let’s just say the food didn’t make it home!! I will be back especially for the greens and dressing alone !!

Pros for me was that the restaurant was clean, I like being able to see where the food is prepared. The dressing was GOOD and so was my peach cobbler! There was no microwave usage in the preparation that I can see. The staff was professional and clean as well. Cons for me, my cajun fried turkey wings was a wing with half the meat missing and a VERY dry drum leg that i tossed out, also it was bland with no flavor to be titled cajun. My mac/cheese was dry, but tasty. The green beans were bland and the dressing portion (one of the best items) was very small, the size of one ice cream scoop. For $15 it was mediocre. I will possibly try again because I like to support my community.

I ordered 3 dinners for me and my 2 daughters and EVERYTHING had good soul food flavor…My teenager had the rib tips, spaghetti, green beans, and sweet potatoes (which were the best sweet potatoes I ever tasted in my life) my young daughter she had the fried chicken wings, greens, mac and cheese and I had the same with the Cajun turkey which was tender and delish…We will definitely continue to support this business .

I visited the restaurant with my family and ordered 2-separate meals: The baked turkey meal and the fried catfish meal. Both entrees along with the sides were tasty, seasoned to perfection, and the serving sizes were large. The customer service was great. We all enjoyed our meals and we will definitely be back when I am in town. You won’t be disappointed with the service, portion size nor the taste. Thanks Henry and Stephanie
