Historic City Fish Market originally was located on Anderson Ave, then at the State Farmers Market for over 20 years until Irma destroyed the building, City Fish Market has persevered and is the big red food truck still located at the States Farmer Market. Found this hole in the wall hotspot though Google. Food was really good, some of the BEST hush puppies and okra we’ve ever had. Super busy (lunch time when we came) got out our food quickly though. Only small drawback is when you’re driving to it, you go through industrial side of town so if you don’t have a map app you might drive past it.

Hands down best fish sandwich I’ve had in Florida. Conch fritters also delicious. Mullet seems popular as other patrons always ask for it. I go weekly now. Try it, you won’t regret it. Just FYI closed Mondays, I always forget

This is my very favorite place to get a fish sandwich during my visits to Fort Myers! The fish is delicious and eliminated sweet enough to put you into a sugar coma. The staff is always pleasant. It’s important that it is closed on Mondays and Sundays. since the hurricane it has not opened back up in the building but is in a red food truck just inside the fence of the farmers market.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! Cheap and delicious food. Had the soft shell crab sandwich and wish I had ordered 2. Mullet sandwich was great and so were the hush puppies and fries. Prefect example of the “hole in the wall” place that locals try to keep secret. Don’t forget to try and win a free dinner from their box!

Been there yesterday, wow what a place, 4 people in the food truck, talking to each other not really interested if you order or not, ordered fried shrimps dinner +fries and hashpuppies, this was ok, 2nd dish was to be cod well there was no fish in fried balls they packed, i have asked if this is cod as i ordered and anwer was yeah… So assumed that they have bites like serving, nope this thing was bad… Last thing was chicken sandwitch box which was just as good as it would be in McD I am sorry but you might have been good place but this is no longer the case, in my opinion, just for you to be sure that i was actually there i came in white sedan with tons of bugs at the front and you asked me from shere i came (just drove 800 miles)
