I went today,for the first time , to pick up a plate to go. I did not call ahead. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and my order was taken shortly after. I received my order within a few minutes and was back on my way. The food is fantastic and I will definitely be back. I ordered the pork chop with squash, okra and mashed potatoes. The pork chop is moist and well seasoned. Everything is tasty.

Country cooking at its best! Chicken and dressing was moist and delicious. Hamburger steak was juicy and had a nice sear. And gumbo for a side!!! How amazing. This place is in the old riverside building downtown. They have completely remodeled it and it is a great atmosphere. 10/10 will be a regular here!

Very nice service extremely nice my food was cooked just like I like … I would love see something different around boring old Florence Alabama.. I see they only stay open to 2 pm (sweet job ) I will go back and try some different things even tho I could save a couple of dollars getting the same things at McDonald’s on the app ..

I’ve been multiple times for breakfast. Every time has been the same experience. The servers are quick, nice, and personable. The food always comes out quick and has been the same every time. You get a great value for all the food you get for the money. I haven’t tried their lunch yet, but plan to soon.

Couldn’t eat all our food after seeing the guy waiting tables put two fingers inside his mouth then start pouring coffee using same hand!!! Scrambled eggs, have very strange and potent seasoning in them…smell was overwhelming. Food subpar and atmosphere greasy spoon. Only plus was…Lady working there was lovely and very pleasant!

The staff is friendly but the food was lacking. I had the chicken and dressing. It was cold and without flavor. The purple hull peas tasted like canned and very mushy. The greens were like canned as well. The fried okra was decent. Hopefully, the food will improve; otherwise canned grocery store food is as tasty.
