I came here to check out the band. Unfortunately I was late to my reservation so they gave the table away. They did mention you can call to save it if you will be late. The place is very small. I ended up sitting in the back bar area. You can still hear the band, but it doesn’t give the same feeling. I got the Brussels sprouts, fish and chips and a salad. The Brussels sprouts and salad were good. The fish didn’t seem like it was seasoned, it was soft and generally so like a crispy fish. Plus, it gave me that “dirty” catfish taste. I would come back again to actually hear the band. They have Ladies night on Wednesday. The parking lot near the location is small. I would recommend making reservations. The band (the red sample) that played was good. My friend and I were charged an 18% gratuity on our bill at the bar even though it clearly states that is only for parties of 4. The explanation given didn’t really make any sense.

Visited on a Saturday night after making a last minute 9:15pm reservation on Resy, which I highly recommend. I doubt we would’ve been seated without a reservation.

We came to Parkside for brunch and had a WONDERFUL experience. We were in town (from Detroit) and the owner and his staff took excellent care of us! From the reservation booking, the hostess staff, the server(s), bartenders and DJ. Great food, awesome drinks, music, and best of all–a truly professional dining experience. Excellence at its best. Recommended for sure!

Parkside is giving very much I’ll be here a few times this summer!!! DJ is on point, Vibe is there! I didn’t order food but where the looks of my neighbor’s plates and how they smashed the food gotta be good! Drinks weren’t watered down, and the hookah was hitting!! Great overall ambiance. Rather you’re having a birthday party, celebration, or date night, this is definitely the spot to be at!!

Hidden gem. Sunday brunch on Easter was perfect. I wanted good music and good food-but not a big scene. Went at noon with reservations. Server and staff were so friendly. Food was really good, three of us had the breakfast platter to share, wanted to sample everything and all items were tasty! Ordered more bacon and biscuits later because we wanted more deliciousness. Great music and lovely decor. Will be back again for sure for such a perfect chill Sunday vibe.

Really dope new spot in Grant Park, the Beacon! We sipped and hookah, and enjoyed great music. It is a bit cramped, reservations are required during nighttime peak hours. And there is a two hour table limit. Although we had a great time, it gets way too crowded for the space. I would recommend holding people at the door when the bar is at capacity.

Maybe I chose the wrong time to check this place out. I’ll test it out one more time. The vibe was on point. The food that I ordered wasn’t the best. I love biscuits and gravy so I ordered the chicken Biscuit with gravy. It looked good but it was definitely waiting all day for me to come order it. There was no crunch at all to the fried chicken. It was tough and chewy.

This place is a vibe! My new favorite bartender Deedee introduced me to my new signature drink, the Smoky Robinson. A twist on the old fashioned that was an instant fave. Make sure to ask for Deedee at the bar and you’re guaranteed fantastic service!
