I visit Lake Street Tavern pretty regularly. They have a really great menu of the usual casual lunch and dinner Americana, but the burgers are the best in South Lyon (IMHO). They also have a great selection of craft beers including some from Witch’s Hat Brewery, another local fave.

Have visited 7-8 times now and every single time has been fantastic. Relaxed atmosphere and amazing specials. (Walking tacos are unbelievable). The bad reviews for this place are so weak.. gluten allergies are NOT LETHAL. Come thru and chat with the bartender.. that’s all it’ll take.

My two star rating is not an implication of the quality of the food. Everything we ate was great and well presented. I brought 11 individuals for us to have dinner after walking the South Lyon fall festival, but an hour into our meal the a server (young girl with pink hair) comes to our table and has the audacity to ask if we are going to be done soon( and more it took 30 minutes to get our meal), as they needed the table. I was blown away by this request and even our true server had a bit of an attitude. I’m not sure if the $250, I spent was worth the rude experience. Attention Management team-I know it’s hard hiring individuals in today’s climate, but manners are required and courtesy, especially in the service industry. Good luck!

A lovely, inviting watering hole perfect for anyone looking for a fun time! Stellar service team is personable and the food is excellent (bacon burger and salads highly recommended). We have been dining at Lake Street Tavern for many years, and our recent visit was disappointing. The server was attentive and apologetic for our meals that were not prepared properly. The burgers were overcooked to the point of dry and tastless, and the chips were not fresh. The chips were replaced with a crisp, fresh basket, howeverer too late to eat with our meals. The overdone burgers were not replaced and not taken off of our bill.

Tavern was not that busy on Good Friday evening. Server was very nice and polite. Got the fish and chips and it was very good. The batter was not over the top with being thick or too crunchy. It was very good and nice and light. Fries were just typical fries. Coleslaw was pretty good as well.. I would say the best fish and chips around. I recommend heading to the tavern and support local.
