AMAZING food. Real Italians making real pizza (not chain restaurant pizza). The cheese were fantastic and the Italian beef sandwich is something Chicagoans would approve of! They’re only open from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. We got there at 5:30 on a Friday evening and the place was packed, but it was definitely worth waiting for.

This has always been my special restaurant. Went there tonight for my birthday dinner. And it’s the last time I will be going there. Ordered a beer it was warm and flat. My husband and I got our food and it was not hot. The waitress took the food back to the kitchen and told the owner that it wasn’t hot. He came out And told me off. And he was not quiet about it everyone in the small restaurant heard him. The waitress spent more time talking with other people instead of checking on customers. Not a good way to run a business.

Dave, Karen and Anthony are such gracious hosts to begin with only surpassed, perhaps, by the delicious food they serve. The Galaţi’s Special was hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had! Dave makes all of his own sauce and sausage in house and uses only the best ingredients which delivers the most mouthwatering flavors ever! The mushrooms are hand-battered to order and simply melt in your mouth. Their son Anthony kept us entertained and was a delight to engage with…so sweet and funny!

Pizza is very good. The pasta dishes not as much. Ordered shrimp fetacini alfredo and got penne pasta instead of fetacini. Was not told this until dish was served. The other strange thing is the tails were left on the shimp. Had to peel them before they could be eaten.
