The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the smothered turkey wings, rib tips, Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Oh and the yummy lemonade. Everything was fresh and the staff is super friendly. This soul food restaurant is exactly what Gwinnett County has been missing. Go get you a plate, you will not regret it!

This food is amazing! I’ve been there everyday except 1 since they’ve opened up! Lbvs. Very affordable hearty meals that are always enough to save leftovers! I’m so glad I don’t have to drive all the way to Atlanta to get good food!!! Tastes like ya Grandmother’s cooking from back in the day!

They get 5 stars across the board. So happy that a black owned establishment opened so close to where I live. The customer service was amazing, I was greeted soon as I entered and thanked upon leaving. The food is amazing and the prices are great. I will be a regular customer!

Very good food and friendly staff. I ordered the baked chicken and it was SO good. The peach cobbler is excellent as well. The restaurant is clean and has a good vibe inside. The food portions are nice and tasty. My only minor complaint is that despite not being crowded, getting the food on the plates was a little slow but definately worth the wait!

First time patron and the food was good. This is a take out only spot, just need a little more direction of how it works and clear pricing. I would add an A frame sign at entry with specials and welcome note and put a rail or divider at the food line. No complaints at all on the food you can taste the spices in the yams and the turkey wings were cooked perfectly so I added more gravy. I’ll be back for round two and I will have folk with me.

This place was amazing. I was in the area to drop something off and just noticed the sign. I’d been looking for a new soul food spot closer to home for a while so I figured why not try it. If I would’ve known they’d be this good I would’ve saved all my hunger for it. I’m almost hesitant to say how good I think this place is so next time I go their line is wrapped around the corner, but they’re such nice people I couldn’t live with myself otherwise. If I could give ‘em 6 stars I’d be smashing that button as we speak. Go get some.

We were on our way to Staples, saw their signs & thought we might give it a try if the food looked good. So glad that we stopped. We ordered Turkey Wings which were flavorful and well cooked, yellow rice which was delicious with a little of the turkey wing juice over it and the greens, cornbread and candied yams were so tasty! My husband does not particularly care for rice but he ate everything on his plate and even complimented the rice no less. The food was well worth the price we paid so we will definitely be going back to try a different entree and maybe even share a dessert.

New place, just opened July 4 – decided to try it out as there aren’t many soul food options for us Mall of Georgians close by. While they need some more time in figuring out their service timing (not clear lines, time to service slow though it’s a counter setup instead of sit-down), by Jon Snow’s beard is the food amazing. Got the catfish with mashed potatoes and collard greens, friend got the baked chicken with yams and mac/cheese. Mouthwatering, succulent, cooked fresh and well, the food had that extra taste of yum you find in the most flavorful food. The kind of food that puts a smile on your face while chewing ugly. Massive kudos to the chef and front lady service person (owner/manager?) – simple, straightforward soul food with that flavor that hits your stomach right. Definitely going back soon. Generous servings too! Once their operations run smoother, this place is a mainstay.
