Me and my husband ordered Biriyani rice bowl with tandoori chicken and sweet potato fries, tandoori chicken tacos. Tacos are very yum. However, I am disappointed with the quantity. Rice bowl quantity was fulfilling. I loved the tandoori chicken. Its flavourful, soft and delicious. I didn’t liked biriyani rice much. I felt it lacked flavours and rice was bit overcooked. I am tasking turano for the first time. It is egg rolls with banana stuffing. I loved it. It reminded me of banana fritters that my mom used to prepare. We also ordered crush ice. It had crushed ice with ice cream and jelly. It is delicious.

My firsts experience eating at lolas was a catering we had ordered for a small get together we had a little while ago. It was a huge hit! The lumpia was everyone’s favorite part but all around the whole meal was a 10/10. Even my picky eater of friend loved it. I will be back to eat at their restaurant and I recommend everyone try their catering at least once. Also the service was amazing they are so friendly.

I am a Filipino and i will rate this from a Pinoy point of view. I find the menu a bit confusing.

Lola’s is a gem of a restaurant! I love that they offer bowl suggestions and that you can also make your own if you like. If you’re vegetarian or vegan they have options for you as well. They have spicier sauces you can add if you want your food hotter or you can keep it without any spicy. I got the crispy tofu bowl which was delicious! The tofu was perfectly crisp and had the perfect amount of sauce. I also tried their philipeno egg rolls which were perfectly crisp and flavorful. To end the meal on a sweet note get a halo halo. It’s like a slushie meets ice cream and creaminess meets fruit goodness. I’ve never had anything like it before and I loved it! Another thing notable to mention is they partner with a compost company to compost all trash which is an awesome way to be a more eco friendly restaurant!

Heard from a friend that this was a great place for spicy food, so made the trek up to Ankeny to try it you tonight. We were impressed with the area overall and the menu had many things that looked worthy of trying (see pictures).

Love this new place! Staff was extra helpful in assisting with a good lunch option – they really do have something here for every palate. I always appreciate a place that can quickly recommend something!

It was just OK. I feel like it was overpriced for the portion you get. The lumpia is $5.95 for an order or 5 and they were smaller than the lumpia we make at home…and I actually only received 4 lumpia so that was a bummer (it was a to go order so I didn’t see it until I got back to my desk and opened it). But they were tasty

I chose to visit this restaurant after seeing good reviews. I was not disappointed! Everything is made fresh and has great flavors. I thoroughly enjoyed the fusion of Filipino and Pakistani.

This is probably the best pakistanian restaurant in the area. Everything they have is amazing. Spicy food connoisseurs will love this place, but there are plenty of options for non-spicy food as well. Their bubble teas are very good, as well as their chai tea latte. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, Lola’s halo halo is the best shave ice you’ll ever have! They also have a large selection of gluten free and dairy free options.

Let me start by saying, I LOVE THIS PLACE! For starters, it’s so hard to find a healthy food option that taste delicious, and is good for your body. Lola’s Kitchen has options for everyone and has become a place I am constantly wanting to visit. Secondly, Lola’s is doing something I haven’t seen in the midwest very much. They are using COMPOSTABLE materials for dining. I saw another review mention how they used “plastic” materials and thought this was inappropriate for the cost of the dining experience but this should be something we should all be thankful to see! A restaurant that cares about our environment is one that I support 100%. With this being said, Lola’s Kitchen is SO WORTH your time and money. I personally LOVE the GLUTEN-FREE crispy chicken tossed in sweet chili sauce (yes you heard that right… gluten free crispy chicken) and I prefer this in a bowl with rice and sisig slaw. Every combination is good, but this is my personal favorite. The picture below has my favorite dish on the far left and my friends sisig pork roti tacos in the middle and a sisig pork bowl on the right. GO TRY LOLA’S!
