I had the Wagyu Roast Beef regular size sub and it was delicious. Regular is more than enough for a lunch meal with a bag of BBQ chips and a Mtn Dew.

Everytime I order from here they forget something. Today I ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 bags of chips. They only sent my sandwich. No sandwich for my wife or chips for either of us. The cheese steak I got was the sloppiest thing I’ve ever seen. Served with mushy tomatoes and browning lettuce. Never again!

Capriottis, of course, is a staple in New Castle, although that is not what makes them good to me. It’s the delicious sandwiches. I’ve been frequenting this place for years and no matter who makes your food, it’s always tasty.

Cheese Steak has very little steak. It’s mostly bread. A good cheese steak should be FILLED with steak and hard to close because of the quantity of meat. I was still hungry after eating their $21 sandwich.

Good food usually. I got the special french dip.. not impressed.. steak chopped up too much and fell out when you dipped it. Plus it was overcooked. But other than that, I’ve never been disappointed

I wanted to try local Delawarean food. Decided to grab lunch at Capriotti’s. I ordered the Bobbie sub and it was absolutely delicious. A sun that is filled with all the Thanksgiving fixins. I got the medium size sun and it was stuffed with lots of carved turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce.

Out of all the Capriotti’s basin road is the best. Subs are great, cheese steaks are fabulous and the people who work there are really on their game. Hands down the BEST.

They now serve a vegetarian Turkey, so I can enjoy the Bobbi again! Although it’s not as stuffed as the original, I’m thrilled to have the option. I’ve also ordered it with the Cole Turkey and really enjoyed it. I’m reducing the stars from my original post. The last 2 times I ordered, I was disappointed. The last veggie Cole turkey was so salty we couldn’t eat it,and by the time we got home to eat, they were closed and it was Saturday, so they wouldn’t reopen until Monday

This place is the original Capriotti’s and its the bomb! We drive about an hour to get there (even though we have a franchise “Caps”within a 20 minute drive) and they never disappoint. They are a small shop and have a great crew working the place. If you plan on a friday or Saturday trip get in early as they may run out of rolls, yes they are that good! I first visited this place about 20/25 yrs ago while in the area doing some work and now that I live back in the area, well you know the rest of the story.
