I just had the pleasure of eating here at Gritz. The food, the atmosphere, and the service are top notch. As a city guy transplant, they were very welcoming and the breakfast (especially the grits and biscuts) were out of this world! My family doesn’t live close, but we will be coming back often, it’s that good.

The food is some of the best southern comfort food you’ll find anywhere! Also, the southern, rustic decor adds to the charm of this place. Get off I-75 and let yourself explore the backroads a bit. Stop by Gritz, your tastebuds will be glad you did.

Went here today for the first time with my friend from work. It wasn’t too bad. We went around 1:40pm on a Sunday afternoon. The food came out quick and the prices for the food wasn’t expensive.

This place has a great breakfast selection, and the steak and gravy were awesome, and the biscuits are soft and fluffy, so food wise, there are no complaints whatsoever and in all honesty my only complaint is this was my first time there so I stood like a dummy waiting for someone to help and was finally advised to go to counter for order so next time I’ll be aware.

Had to wait a few minutes but that was fine. Caught up with my sister and brother in law. We all had breakfast and it was awesome. The 5 us had a great time and great food. The place was packed because it is a great place to eat. We drove down from neat Athens Georgia.

We went around 1pm, tables were full except one and we got it. You seat yourself which is good. My Baby got; Turkey and dressing with Mashed potatoes and gravy and fried okra. And I had chicken and dumplings, with fried okra and green beans. She said, The dressing was very hard also there wasn’t much Turkey. Fried Okra was decent. The Chicken & dumplings didn’t have that many Dumplings. The Green beans didn’t have a taste to them no seasonings. The fried okra was mushy wasn’t crispy. I will have to try again at another time to see if they fix their food. Everyone should have the same experience.

My friends and I wanted brunch a few weeks ago. We googled areas in Griffin and this one had great reviews. We went in and seated ourselves. Once we were seated, we noticed a picture with KKK members in full regalia. We immediately left and definitely won’t be back.

My son and I ate at Gritz today. Quick and Great service, fast seating (seat yourself), they were pretty busy but packed where we had to wait, cozy atmosphere (historical relics on the wall, which I love), and the food was wonderful. Especially if, like me, you don’t cook some things at home because no one eats it but you, yet you miss it from when you were a child….like Beef liver and onions and Fried Green Tomatoes. No photo, but my son loved the pumpkin pie.

The City Sampler is more than enough for two people. The pancake was little dry, but we also added French toast, delicious. The bacon was crisped to perfection. The sausage could double as hockey puck.
