We had a great first experience here. The food was delicious and our service was speedy and friendly. The decor was also beautiful. We will definitely come back soon.

Updated, nice looking decor. Rocking ’80s music. Menu looked great. Coffee was gross, very bitter. Glad they have gluten free pancakes and waffles. Service was TERRIBLE!! Waitress never came back to check on us or to give refills. Pancakes came out with no butter. I had to get up and search out someone because no one came back to check on us. Waited 15 for check after flagging someone down. Then when she brought it to us we told her to wait we wanted to give card right away and she just walked away from us. Food and decor good but coffee and service terrible. Will not be back.

Unfortunately I have to lower my rating of this restaurant to a 3 star from a 5 star. They started a strange practice of having multiple servers bring out food to your table all at different times and your main server never brings out your orders. So, we kept having to remind them for missing or incorrect items. It was out of control, our orders have never been right the last 3 times we have been here. Please go back to a traditional waiter and waitress operation.

Menu has some creative options but was poorly executed; e.g. carmelized onions were nearly raw. The food also came out room temp to cold, especially the hash browns which I always look forward to when going out to breakfast 🙁 the coffee isn’t great either.

Holy cow is it a popular brunch spot on Saturdays! It definitely seemed like they were keeping things moving at a pretty decent clip and the wait time was still almost an hour when we got there. Luckily, there was a mass exodus of people soon after that, so we only ended up having to wait maybe 10 minutes? The was tons of natural lighting, too– plenty of windows. Our server was kind, and the food came out relatively quickly. I got the Monte Cristo, which was almost amazing– essentially a ham, turkey, Swiss and American cheese on Texas toast- thickness bread, and then “battered and fried”. It didn’t really seem like it had been battered, and the bread soaked up a substantial amount of oil turning it very greasy. Don’t get me wrong: it was good, but I think it could probably be improved by doing away with the battering/frying and instead just grilling it like a grilled cheese

It was busy when we arrived, so I’m willing to forgive the slow service at that point, but as we sat there, it emptied out quite a bit and our server seemed to disappear. Our orders came out on a very warm plate, but the food itself was cold. The gravy on the biscuits had started to … congeal. And as for its quality … it was barely edible. See the picture for how the bacon came out. Drinks never got refilled. Sat for nearly 20 minutes waiting for our bill. Will not be going back.

Monte Cristo sandwich was too overcooked and the bread was more like regular toast than French toast.

Absolutely the best biscuits and gravy in the city! The portions are beyond generous. Unless you’re starving, you’re basically getting two meals. The place was clean and looks wonderful. Unfortunately, it’s also extremely loud even when only moderately busy because there appears to be no sound dampening surfaces. Not an issue unless you have a headache or need to have a conversation that’s not punctuated with “what” every few sentences. A lot of the other reviews remark on the service. I found the staff friendly and quick, but they did only get around to one top-off of coffee, so minus one star for that. But overall, well worth going back for the great food!
